- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are reasonable and will reflect the role you wish for me to play. I urge you to be in touch directly through my website. The more complex the ceremony, the more time it will take, the more travel involved, the higher the fee will be--but it is never excessive. I do not have a "set price", so please be in touch and we can discuss.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer personalized ceremonies, created in partnership with you, designed to reflect your individual personalities and commitment. This is a collaborative process--it is, after all, your wedding. That said, this collaboration can range from a high level of interaction to one where you prefer I take the lead. The nature of the relationship will be decided after we chat, as it is best to get to know one another a bit before deciding how we'd like to work together. Regardless of the form you choose for your ceremony, my services always include • Consultation with unlimited phone, email, and in-person consultations • Professionally officiating your fully customized ceremony • Travel to the ceremony venue and arriving an hour prior to ceremony start time • Collaboration with your wedding coordinator, photographer/videographer, and other participants to ensure a ceremony that flows well and you get the shots you want • Signing and mailing your marriage license The following formats can be adapted to your specific needs: Traditional Weddings Nondenominational Religious Weddings Handfasting (Handfasting can be added to any wedding ceremony) Other Spiritual and Civil Ceremonies Elopements
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an ordained (nondenominational) minister, qualified to perform weddings in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and West Virginia. My study has prepared me to offer guidance in services of commitment, of inclusion and of recognition. I have served as a counselor, professor and an elected public official. In each of these my focus has been on serving others to better live full and engaging lives--as each has chosen to live that life.
