He did an amazing job, took less then 30mins to put up my door he even fixed the door knob which I wasn’t expecting. Price was great compared to the overly expensive others to contacted me about my door. My mother recognized his name and told me he was actually the same guy who fixed the holes in my room☺️
Chad was great to work with and patiently got through the complexity of installing bypass hardware for two Barn Doors that now cover the pantry. He was very focused on detail, quality and did an excellent job installing the hardware so the Barn Doors slide efficiently.
Very pleased with the work done!! I have received many compliments on my porch and doors!!
It was a pleasure to work with Leo. Very pleased with his understanding of my unique project (preparing a house to sell w/o going overboard & $ crazy). He was able to address many things from repairing composite deck issues to painting kitchen cabinets, painting and repairing walls of multiple textures, bathroom work, basement cleaning and plumbing, new doors, etc.
Crompton Customs has done a variety of work for us most notably and impressive was his custom crown molding and wainscoting. Jeep does excellent work, we highly recommend Crompton Customs.
Background: My fiancé and I purchased a condo in downtown Pittsburgh in late November of 2014. We were ending our rental-lease at another location in downtown on December 31, 2014, and had a move-in date planned for the end of December. We planned to contract a complete interior makeover of the condo before moving in, so we had a deadline of a few weeks to get it done. Augustine Painting came in and completed a high-quality project on 1600 square feet of condominium living space for us, including removing all wallpaper (every room), painting all walls/trim in the condo, repairing damaged walls and electrical plates, repairing damaged doors/trim/fixtures, and assisting in repairing appliances, all while beating our deadline. Communication: Ken responded within hours after we contacted him on Thumbtack, and he was able to come directly to our condo within 48 hours to give us a quote and overview of his services. He was highly personable, professional, to the point, and upfront with any issues or concerns that he had as we made the initial walk through. Following the walk through, he and his wife then provided us with an easy to follow and competitively priced proposal which we accepted. Ken and his crew began working immediately. He kept me informed daily on what exactly was being done, making sure to be straight forward and thorough in his communications. He was also specific, upfront, and reasonable regarding anything that he felt was out of scope from our original contract. We had Ken perform a little more work that we had originally planned due to some unforeseen circumstances, and he quickly provided us with additional contracts/documents of scope where needed. Throughout the process, Ken exceeded our expectations in his responsiveness. If one of us called him and he was unable to answer it immediately, he would almost always give us a call back within minutes. Quality: Our unit was originally designed and decorated in the mid-1980s, so there was faded, peeling, flower-covered wallpaper throughout the condo. The first project was for Ken to remove all of this in a timely manner. To our pleasure, most of it was removed within a few days. To specifically point out Kens handiness and versatility, we had one bathroom in the unit which had very thick, hard glue beneath the wallpaper. Ken was unable to use chemicals or steam to remove it, so he had several of his associates sand and detail the bathroom before painting it. It turned just as faultless as the rest of the condo when it was all said and done. The second project was painting, which was also done in a precise and high quality matter. After Ken had finished the initial painting, he allowed us to go to the condo to inspect it. He gave us a blue roll of tape, and he told us to put a small piece anywhere that we wanted a touch up or found a splatter. To our pleasure, we found only a few trouble spots which were corrected the next day. Summary: Overall, we were 100% satisfied with the work that Augustine Painting provided us with. I would recommend Ken to anyone looking to contract interior wallpaper removal or painting.
I'm not one to usually write reviews, but I feel inclined to write this one because of the excellent job that was done. I had three new, exterior doors, as well as storm doors, installed throughout my home. The work was done perfectly! I could not have asked for a better job. The price was well below the big box stores. I recommend John to anyone looking to have anything done on their home. When you are looking to have work done on your home, call Noel Construction. This is the type of work you would do yourself, if you had the time. I've had him back on a couple occasions for other work.
Joe was very reliable and professional - I wanted to remove 2 sets of older sliding closet doors and replace with French Doors. He took the measurements explained what style of door he preferred and wrote up a estimate / contract. Thanks Joe - For explaining in detail the costs, dates of door deliveries and a great and professional installation job. I will call if I ever need another job. Loretta 2017
Our old windows were 35+ years old and the original when the house was built. Replacing them and a sliding glass patio door saved us on heating costs and gave the house a much better appearance.
Prospective Clients: I met Bill through Thumbtack and he was the most willing and reasonably priced contractor I have ever worked with. Bill and his son Zach were: (1) On time, early actually (2) Efficient -- we chatted about a range of subjects while they did their work (3) Did not try to overcharge me for the work that they did -- $50 (Bill's typical fee is $50/hr) to replace a shower door with a rod and curtain. They did it all in roughly an hour including: (a) Analyzing the problem (b) Helping me find the right replacement at the Busy Beaver nearby (c) Removing the old door (d) Putting in the new rod and curtain Not bad for an hour. And all for just $50 (plus parts -- add $50). TL;DR: Hire this man. *****
Austin transported some glass doors for me for a 60 mile deliver. He was there on time, thoughtful, careful and also very responsive to my concerns. It was a challenging task and he did it well and recruited the help we needed. I would hire him again.
Jason is a very meticulous worker, and makes sure that the project is completed correctly. We had a moderate to large amout of renovation to the house. Including replacing windows, doors, enclosing a porch, new siding, new front dect and small cover porch to the deck. Our project was extende a short bit due to some complications with the construction. Jason corrected the issues with the older home to make sure that the renovation looked great, and was done correctly. I would recomend his work.
Frank and his team did an extensive paint job on all exterior woodwork on our house, including wood trim around the roof, window fascia, doors, and a bay window. Everything looked much better after the work was done, and they completed everything within a few days.
We finished our basement and had ART prime and paint plaster, paint 3 doors, a window frame, moulding and a bath with wainscoting. They were prompt, reasonably priced and very pleasant to deal with. We added a few things during the middle of the project and received a great price.
We could not be more pleased with all the work Chad did for us over the course of seven weeks. The scope of the work was fairly large, in that we did some floor plan remodeling, which included wall demolition and reconstruction, as well as an entire second floor's worth of hardwood resurfacing. Chad also painted, installed doors and related hardware, and basically did everything needed to completely remodel a second floor. The price was great, the timing was as advertised, and the professionalism was top notch. We added and amended certain aspects of the project along the way, and Chad was understanding and helpful the entire time. He kept us up to date on the overage costs (due to the changes and additions) and stayed within our budget overall. We enjoyed our experience so much that the last item we asked Chad to do was provide an estimate for his next project with us. We will definitely work with Chad again.
