We are a full-service remodeling/general contracting company. We've been in business since 1972. We have a great reputation and are highly rated in the BBB and Home Builders Association. We are the premier remodeling company in the greater Central Pennsylvania area. I love the interaction with the homeowners and their reaction to the finished product. Every one of our customers must be 100% satisfied with the finished product or I haven't done my job correctly. So basically, I enjoy the before and after.

Job is nearly done. We have a deck that is 30 yrs old. I was afraid it would need rebuilding, but Chris said it could be fixed. Two floor boards were replaced, and all railings were replaced, along with repair to the steps. All nails were removed and replaced with screws. Additionally, the deck was stabilized and brought up to code. Jason and Mason did beautiful work. They also installed a new basement door which is more secure than the old one. After a couple more weeks of drying, the deck will be power washed and stained. Right now the deck looks new. Jason and Mason were prompt and courteous and really did a fine job. Wish they were my sons! Not that the work was expensive. To the contrary, it very reasonable. I would hire them again with no qualms.

The company is outstanding. They made the following repairs and upgrades: repaired all windows, installed new siding, repaired the front roof, replaced gutters, replaced a support in the basement, repaired basement stairs, a fence and gate and repaired the chimney. Chris and crew were prompt, professional and personable. Members of our neighbohood, some of whom have worked in construction, stopped and commented on the extremely professional job that was being done. A real estate agent was at the house and told me Mione Family Remodeling was an excellent company. I agree. The company will be upgrading a second house for me beginning in March.

After attempting to get quotes from several contractors on a project we wanted to do in our house with no call backs, my husband suggested calling Chris after previously using him on another project on a previous house. Right from the start Chris saw our vision and had helpful tips and questions to fulfill the look we were trying to achieve. Chris and his workers were completely professional from the start of the project to the end. I never hesitated to leave them in my house without myself there. I also like how available Chris made himself and quick response time to answer questions or throw additional thoughts on possible changes. Chris's crew took out a wall in our kitchen and paid attention to detail that I would never even have thought of. In addition, you would never know that there was an existing wall there before. It instantly modernized our house. They also did wonders rebuilding our main set of stairs that everyone sees when they enter our house. Chris is also good at recommended other contractors if you have a project that his company does not do which has been very helpful finding someone as reputable. For any future projects we plan to do with our house, I wouldn't consider any other business because we are extremely pleased with the results of our past projects by the Mione Family.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We go by Home-Tech for some pricing purposes, but mostly it is done by previous job costs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we get a phone call or e-mail requesting specific projects the customer has in mind, we return the call and schedule a time to go and look at the project to get the entire scope of work, we then let the customer know it will be 3 - 5 days until they will hear back with a verbal quote. If the verbal is acceptable to the customer we will proceed with the written contract and e-mail or send standard mail to the customer to sign and return (typically with deposit).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates degree in Construction technology from Penn Tech and a bachelors in Criminal Justice from Penn State.
