DaNece Lyman is a Registered Violin Teacher with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. She grew up as a Suzuki student in Cary, North Carolina and has been an active Suzuki teacher since 2008.
Ms. Lyman holds degrees in violin performance from the University of Redlands (Artist Diploma), Boise State University (M.M.), and Brigham Young University (B.M.). Her private teachers include Sam Fischer, Craig Purdy, and Monte Belknap. She has performed with the Boise Philharmonic, Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra, Redlands Symphony Orchestra, Ballet West Orchestra, and Orchestra at Temple Square. Her performing has taken her to Italy, Slovenia, and Spain where she played with the International Music Festival of the Adriatic, and as concertmaster with the Inland Master Chorale and Orchestra.
Ms. Lyman maintains a private studio of in person and online students, and has taught for the Community School of Music and Arts in Redlands, Claremont Community School of Music, The Piano Place, and Dryer Music School. She has also enjoyed coaching young chamber music groups as a faculty member with the North Carolina Chamber Music Institute. Along with private lessons, Ms. Lyman also conducts group classes for preschool aged children geared towards introductory music for which she has received the SECE stage 1 training, as well as violin group classes. Ms. Lyman is passionate about the philosophy of continual learning with a deep appreciation for the mentorship of her past teacher trainers—Edward Kreitman, Sherry Cadow, Esther Fellows, Rolando Freitag, Allen Lieb, and Danette Warren.
