FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I require a payment for the coming month during the first week of that month. It is based on 4 half-hour lessons per month. Some months contain 5 occurrences of your day, in which case you still pay for four. That's your bonus for good attendance. Make as many lessons as you can. If you have to cancel, I make every effort to offer an alternative time during that week. However, there are no rebates for skipped lessons. It is assumed that there will be sickness, sports, and other conflicts in the student's schedule. Sometimes you are 'out of town.' We can work around these. Exceptions are: 2 days at Chrismas, 2 days at New Year's, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet. I determine the student's level of competence. At the first lesson, the necessary materials are assigned and purchased by the student. If the student is starting at the beginning, it's easy. If student requests a specific direction to take, I make an effort to incorporate that into our program.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained on piano with Joseph Arcaro and Charlotte Mason at Philadelphia Musical Academy; privately with Michael Ford of Falls Village CT and Eric Gombert of Lansdale PA. Harmony with Romeo Cascarino at Combs College in Philadelphia. Voice with Deborah Lipsi of Towamencin PA. Self-taught on bass and guitar. Drums with Don Henning in Ardmore PA.
