FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In general, pricing for swim lessons is complicated. My pricing depends on how far I have to drive for the lesson and how many children are involved. I do private and group lessons, but children typically learn faster in a private lesson, which is a little bit more expensive. However, it makes a difference in the end. All lessons usually start at around $30, but please inquire for prices.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started teaching swim lessons at Malvern Prep when I was 14. When I was 17, I moved to ACAC and taught there as well as in people's pools. By the age of 19, I had moved to just teaching at patron's houses. When I was in college, I worked as a swim lessons and lifeguard manager (and filled in as a swim instructor) for Sweeney Seals Swim School. I have also been a Lifeguard since I was 15, and am certified in CPR and AED as well.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
As a swim instructor, I teach any children aged 2-12 how to swim and navigate your home pool. I teach young children how to float and put their face in, and I teach older children how to perfect their stroke and dive, as well as everything in between. I enjoy the water and have been teaching for seven years.
