I took piano lessons as a kid and vocal lessons through middle school and high school in a small rural town two hours from Pittsburgh. After a year of feeling a little lonely in a new city by myself I decided I wanted to take a piano and singing lesson once a week just for something to do and to keep myself "in singing shape". I found thumbtack, answered all the questions, and waited for emails from music teachers to come through. The next day I had multiple responses but Rossi Music Studio was the first I opened up and I called immediately after reading it. Even though I was very excited, I never saw myself driving a little over an hour three days a week to work with Joe a few hours a day. I never thought I could find so much amazing talent in one place, even the 7 and 8 year olds have incredible singing voices. Rossi Music Studio's curriculum is so cutting-edge that I can't believe how much I've grown in the short period of time in range, vocal agility, and tone. After a month I don't even recognize my voice and I am realizing what an awesome future I have to look forward to. Pittsburgh is very lucky to have Smokin' Joe and his amazing talent. He genuinely wants the best for each student and puts all of his heart into each lesson. He brings out THE BEST and more in each of his students.
I'm happy I decided to start taking guitar lessons. The teacher is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like I've learned a lot and I look forward to learning more. Lessons are reasonably priced and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
I am a musical theatre actor, and when I started lessons with Andrés, my goal was to be able to plunk out the notes of songs as I prepare for auditions. Andrés's thorough and engaging teaching totally exceeded my expectations! I am now able to accompany myself by playing chords as I prepare for auditions. His approach is thoughtful, and he really catered to my specific needs so that I left every lesson feeling like I was one step closer to my goal. I highly recommend his teaching to anyone looking to learn or strengthen their piano skills!
Ada is everything I could ask for in a piano instructor for my 10-year-old. She has a focused but fun demeanor, makes sure to cover the basic skills and theory, and seems to be a very patient individual. My daughter is very excited for her lesson each week and actually enjoys practicing.
Fabiola is a very caring and patient person who has many years of experience working with children of all ages. She makes an excellent piano instructor for anyone, especially kids :-)
I have 2 sons that went to Ruth and she was awesome. Kids learned. Great personal all around.
My daughter is 10 years old and has been taking piano lessons with Mr. Johnson for almost 4 years now. She is progressing nicely. His kind and gentle way make for a very positive learning experience. Mr. Johnson is encouraging without being harsh or belittling. He is patient and the ideal instructor for my daughter.
Excellent piano teacher for our four kids!
Darlene is a good piano teacher, I will recommend her
Aaron has a great resume, I figured he'd be a great musician & would be great with high-level musicians. Our son has had zero formal private lessons and Aaron was GREAT with a beginner too. Looking forward to more lessons!
Two of my daughters have taken lessons at New Song Studio..One of my daughters has taken acting lessons and the other takes Voice and Piano. I cannot say enough good things about New Song Studio. Jean is a very patient and encouraging instructor. My daughters have learned a lot from her and gained confidence in the process. Highly recommend!

Matt is very good at adapting the lesson to the learner. He is professional, personable and knowledgable. Recommended!
Professional and friendly; my 7 yr old daughter was very happy after her first lesson
I greatly enjoy teaching all age levels but I specialize in beginner to early advanced ability levels. Students receive private lessons weekly along with monthly group studio classes. Performance opportunities are also available each semester. I am excited to work with all students who inquire!
I teach children and adults guitar, rhythm and lead plus bass guitar. I can also teach some beginner piano and singing lessons.
My name is Devon. I'm 25 years old, and I have 20 years of experience in playing music and seven years of teaching music. I am currently the pianist, songwriter, and lead singer of a rock band. I'm classically trained and have experience in playing and teaching, music theory, music history, and singing. I play classical, jazz, blues, rock, rock 'n' roll, and popular music.
I have taught in my home for all ages, from beginning to advanced, for 35 years as well as in Charleston University in WV and BTEC in Baltimore, MD. I've accompanied choirs, singers, and instrumentalists and played for church. I have very good success with my students. They have choices of the style of music they want to learn combined with traditional methods and/or Suzuki method. We have home recitals, giving them the chance to perform as well as the possibility of competing.
I am offering piano lessons in my home for ages 5 - 99. I charge $8 per half hour. There are a few spots left, if interested. We will also have 2 recitals per year at no cost. The first one is held for only the students. The second is held around the holidays, and shared with family and friends!
I have been instructing private music lessons for five years in the greater Pittsburgh area. I currently teach at Waddell's Music Center in Wexford, but am also looking for independent students closer to my home studio. Lessons available are flute (beginner to advanced), piano (beginner to intermediate), and violin (beginner). I hold a degree in music performance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Lessons with me can be tailored to your interests: I can teach you solely how to play the piano, or I can teach you in a way that will gear you more towards being able to write your own music. Either way, you will need some basic keyboard skills, so even if composition is your main interest, there will still be a significant amount of time spent at the piano, especially if you have no prior musical training
