I had a really hard time choosing the officiant for my wife and my wedding. The pastor at my church was booked to do it over a year in advance and said he was retiring and moving away only about 3 1/2 months before the wedding. My fiancé and I spoke to several officiants from Thumbtack together but she had to work when Martay was available for a meeting. My fiancé was a big fan of someone else we interviewed but I had a really good vibe about Martay. I believe both Martay and the other individual would have done an excellent job. The big point is that I have no regrets about Martay. She met with me and my fiancé a couple times after we hired her and my fiancé was super happy about the energy Martay exhibited, energy I got from Martay when I first met her. Martay requires a contact between her and her clients which was huge for me because I did not have that with the officiant I originally had. She sent us sample ceremonies that my fiancé and I picked parts from each to create a new one which worked best for what we wanted and Martay was all about it as she wanted us to have the ceremony that would make us the happiest. We paid a little extra to have Martay come to our rehearsal and she was still cheaper than pretty much everyone else. And it was well worth it as she made us feel more comfortable with the flow of the ceremony as well as what to do and when. Overall, Martay was a pleasure to work with and my wife and I are very thankful to her for being apart of our special day. I believe if you hire her, you won’t have any regrets either.
