Adam Rung Woodworks

Introduction: Adam Rung Woodworks is a full service woodworking shop dedicated to creating pieces that are functional, beautiful, and eco-friendly. We specialize in custom furniture and cabinetry, designed specifically to meet the needs of our clients. Aside from working with private clients, we regularly work with interior designers and architects on a vast range of projects. We offer historical reproductions, furniture prototyping, doors, stairs, moldings, kitchens, built-ins, vanities and floors. At Adam Rung Woodworks, we believe that it is imperative to be ecologically responsible. Selling and buying locally, green materials and recycling are all part of the equation. All the waste produced in the shop are recycled. Usable scrap wood is made into cutting boards, jewelry boxes and mirrors. Smaller scrap wood is burned in wood stoves, and sawdust is given to local horse farms for bedding. Moreover, the shop is powered by PECO wind energy. We utilize domestic hardwoods such as walnut, cherry and maple, which are all harvested in the Mid-Atlantic region. We salvage and reclaim various materials for our projects. We also offer panel goods made from eco-friendly materials and low V.O.C. finishes. We can work with a design you already have in mind, or design something new specifically for you.
