We hired Rammy and his crew for a fairly complex project when I was 7 months pregnant on our old fixer-upper farmhouse (built in 1860's) that is part DIY and part updated over the years through various contractors. As such, we dealt with our fair share of GC's and took a risk with Rammy & team. We chose Ken Group given the complexity of our ask, other positive reviews, and flexibility in tackling our project. Their quote was reasonable, and more importantly was the crew's ability to deliver the project on time (ahead of our baby shower). The quote was not the cheapest we received, but in our case, you get what you pay for, and I regret nothing.Some highlights applicable to any/all projects:- The guys were courteous and cleaned up during and after the project, as you can see by some of the photos, where the work area was taped off to not spread too much dust to the rest of the house. [Some spread is inevitable given the demo, but the guys really tried their best!]- The team was flexible and accommodated a few one-off requests, including ensuring that our house was put back together in time for our baby shower.- Rammy was able to help us pick out finishes as the project progressed and also use materials that we had already picked/wished to keep- We had a few unanticipated challenges during the project, and Rammy and Frank were committed to fixing the issue (even when we realized a few months later - details below). This level of commitment to excellence is so rare having worked with numerous contractors.A bit more on our project specifically: We asked the team to gut our mudroom which had previous leaks through the ceiling due to poorly insulated pipes, and install a full bathroom (previously 1/2 bath). We also needed our second stairwell removed (given it posed a falls risk) and replaced it with two closets. We asked to install a laundry chute - that needed to be creatively hacked. Lastly, we needed wood paneling in a living room removed and the walls redone.Most impressively, a few months after the project -- this winter, we noticed that our pipes still froze despite the Ken Groups work and re-insulation (we were all surprised and it was also a very cold early winter)... Rammy, Frank, and the guys came back to cleverly re-route our piping AGAIN to address the root issue and to ensure we were happy with the work.We are so happy with the work done and highly recommend them.
