FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continually
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The secret to success with hypnotherapy (more than hypnosis alone) is in the exploration - getting to the core of your issue - so we can bring your conscious and unconscious, your mind and your spirit, into inner harmony - that you can move past your blockages - live the life you desire - and be the best YOU that you can be. I recommend that you work with someone who will work with you - someone who will help you unearth the core of your issues - not simply apply the band-aid of suggestions - but find the origin and tailor the suggestions to you - individually.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
There is nothing spooky about either spiritual counseling or hypnotherapy. Hypnosis/hypnotherapy is a state of focused concentration - not sleep. You do not abdicate the throne of your own life at a hypnotherapist's command. Together, we access parts of your mind you generally ignore - but it is still *your* mind that is explored. And you cannot be made to take any suggestion to which you are ethically opposed. Even under hypnosis, you would reject any suggestion you were uncomfortable with. Hypnosis/hypnotherapy cannot put you "under someone else's control." If anything, you are stronger, and more in control of yourself in that state of focused concentration that when you are operating only out of your upper, conscious, mind. When Stage hypnotists, and You Tube videos, make it look like someone is "under" the hypnotist's "control," that someone is willing to quack like a duck. Quacking like a duck would serve no purpose in a hypnotherapeutic setting. I am a serious practitioner, with a social science doctorate in human sexuality and gender, and 30+ years experience in ministerial counseling. A majority of my clients make progress in changing the problem that plagues them and in healing the wounds of their pasts - often of their childhoods. Hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool for that outcome.
