Christian H. says, "I hired MD wiring solutions for two projects. First, I needed help to install a wired video door bell and in a follow up project I needed help to installed a new chime box. He was always very professional and easy to work with. He had good suggestions and was very responsive at all times. He even wore shoe covers when he came into the house. Which is something I have never seen before. He is very polite, professional and is well connected in case a unexpected difficulty arises. I can highly recommend him."See more

Cenk E. says, "Sam and M&M are the epitome of professionalism and talent. They take their craft very seriously and the end result is a work of art. I would not trust any one else with my projects may it be large or small. His workers are very respectful and talented.. They are clean/prompt and courteous which in this day in age is very hard to come by. I have recommended them to my friends and family and they have never been disappointed. Please see the pictures attached."See more

Cathy U. says, "We had a section of gutter break loose during a powerful wind storm. I called 3 local contractors who did not respond so I tried Thumbtack for the first time. After submitting a brief description of the problem, Mark texted that he could fix it the next morning and provided a reasonable quote for the work. We were so grateful to have the work done so quickly, especially since it was over a holiday. Mark was very considerate and responsive with communication when he had a delay prior to arriving but he did show up and completed the job. We were very pleased to know the gutter was secure and the banging against the house was over. Mark even explained why the hangers were not sufficient and suggested a repair to the rest of the gutter hangers. We will definitely contact him for future work in the spring."See more

They need to quote a job and give you the full price at once. Quote the labor and parts in one email. Do not go back and forth with the customer. Then say I will put you on schedule without a complete quote.

Fixing Your Future Siding, Roofing & Handyman.
Fixing Your Future Siding, Roofing & Handyman.
Fatima was very responsive and the team did the work quickly and for a reasonable price.
The first project was to fix a pipe leak and to install some paneling on the underside of my roof overhang. Because there was no paneling, carpenter bees had taken up residence over the last 2 years in that space and made a mess. Cost was $1,150 for materials and labor.
The second project was to replace broken stonework in the keystones above my front door and windows. Cost was $1,500 for materials and labor, including painting to match my existing paintwork.
Very pleased with the work and at least two neighbors on my block subsequently hired them with similarly great results.

Philly Handyman

Did not do all of the work as discussed at the meeting. Then tried to charge me separately for materials; from the labor. We only agreed upon one price, he NEVER mentioned materials were not in the agreed upon price!! Very disappointed in this exchange! Most contractors include the materials in the quote!!! Will not be using again.

I was absolutely, 100% satisfied and pleased with the quality of the work, the responsiveness and the professionalism of Artem and his brother. Artem gives you the feeling that he cares about your problem. He went out of his way to find textured glass for my bar and saved me money. For a broken light fixture be charged for the part but "threw in" the labor cost at no charge. He already know that he's my "go-to" handyman for any projects that come up in the future.

bathroom and kitchen remodel

AMAZING. The professionalism and attention to detail with this pro was absolutely phenomenal. He did a bathroom remodel, a kitchen remodel, an entryway remodel, and the remodel of a half bathroom. The gentlemen who helped him were all polite, organized, excellent at their trade and craft, and kept the job site clean. The pricing was based off of his labor and it was up to me to pick the materials, which I found really helpful and easy to understand. Really great experience and I’ll never use anyone else again.

Josoel and his son showed up at the agreed time to give me an estimate and talk about the project. We went over everything and they gave me an estimate for labor and I would pay the supply cost as well. I thought the project cost was very fair. They started promptly the next day and were done in two days. They showed up each day at the time promised and cleaned up each day. They did everything right and didn’t cut corners. I would highly recommend them!

Very disappointing experience. I hired this handyman to patch a door, install 4 window air conditioners, and tighten a sink. The work was completed in about 40 minutes, which was confirmed by both my tenant and security cameras.

However, I was billed for 2.5 hours of labor. When I raised the issue, I was told the handyman "forgot to stop the timer" after leaving my home. That explanation feels like a poor excuse for what appears to be an intentional overcharge. It’s dishonest and distasteful.

I won’t be using this company again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone looking for fair and transparent service.

I had a washer and dryer that needed installation & I didn't have the parts I needed either. I put out a request and Lee was among those who responded. I could tell by our initial interactions he was a really down to earth, honest and interesting person. He gave me a reasonable quote which included labor and parts and was available within a day or two. I'd explained that I wasn't sure if the dryer was gas or electric. We couldn't find a place on the machine for a gas hookup and initially assumed it was electric.
Lee showed up with his trolley of tools right around when he said he would. He hooked up the washer and vented the dryer meticulously and ran both through several cycles to make sure everything was done properly. The dryer tumbled but wasn't getting hot & we still couldn't find the gas hookup on the machine. We assumed it would eventually heat up and Lee went on to his next job. On his way there he texted me saying that the dryer issue was bugging him so he did some research on the make and model and found out it was indeed a gas dryer. I was really impressed by his concern for a stranger. He said he'd finish his job, pick up the part he needed and come back that day. He came back but bought the wrong part. It was late in the afternoon so he exchanged it and came back the next day to finish. We were finally in business! He made 3 trips to my home, and three trips to Home Depot to pick up parts and he stayed true to his quote.Like many of us who are trying to get by, Lee relies on public transportation to get and from each job, and to and from Home Depot to pick up parts when necessary. I want you to know that Lee will not show up in a crisp uniform with a clipboard and a shiny toolbox. His hands are well worn & dirty, and his clothes look like he's spent a long day working-because he has.He has a background in construction and has one of those minds that loves learning how fix and repair new things. He's an all around fantastic handyman and I can't wait to give him more business as soon as I can. Lee is someone who was skilled and hungry to find work. After trying traditional routes, he saw an ad online for Thumbtack. I really commend the great lengths he has gone through to start this venture for himself. Hire Lee. He's honest, kind, skilled and very reasonably priced, especially given his expertise and work product. You won't regret it!

I would never hire Aziz and his team again and I suggest you don’t either. I should have recognized the red flags but I ignored them. Aziz very promptly responded to my inquiry and came out for an estimate. The final estimate was a text message that said “I can do your bathroom in 2 weeks for $3500 and it will look better than you’re other bathroom” I decided to give Aziz the job and instead of 2 weeks, it actually took almost 3 months. They showed up to my house for a full bathroom demo and build with a hammer, crowbar and a saw and worked barefoot. They demolished the bathroom (which was in my master bedroom) without covering furniture in my bedroom, they left bags of demolition trash in my driveway for several WEEKS, long after installation was complete, despite several request (that I shouldn’t have had to make) to remove the trash. I had to sleep in dust and debri for several WEEKS. The price was too good to be true but only included labor which I was okay with. Aziz told me that he would be able to pickup any materials for the job, as long as it was local. Of course Home Depot and Lowe’s doesn’t always have everything you need or a large variety of decorative tiles so I found a tile place in south Philly, about 20 mins from my house in mount airy. Aziz refused to go to the tile store to pick up my tiles, stating that he was driving a van and the material would be too heavy. I couldn’t get all the tiles in my vehicle so had to pay extra for delivery from the store. Aziz’s worker was very sweet and even brought us fresh bread from their country. He worked hard and worked long hours, including weekends (I guess to make up for days they didn’t come) but he did not drive so at 72 years old I had to drive him back and forth to Home Depot MULTIPLE times throughout the day (and the duration of the job) for needed materials. Aziz made design decisions without consulting with me first- like deciding to enclose my radiator in the wall behind tiles and cutting loops where the radiator was for the heat to escape. When I told Aziz that design wasn’t practical for when i need to bleed the radiators at the change of the season (not to mention the design looked horrible) he got frustrated with my request to change it. I noticed that as the job went on past schedule, Aziz became more frustrated with my requests to change things he should have consulted with me about in the first place. They inappropriately used tile pencils for the threshold of my bathroom which created a lip I have to step over to get in and out of my bathroom. I asked Aziz to change them and use a piece of marble tile I already owned for the threshold-I was concerned about falling as I’m 72 and have been less steady on my feet lately but Aziz refused to change it. Towards the end of the project I asked Aziz to install grab bars for me which he did reluctantly. The job was finally completed several weeks later. Not only was I inconvenienced in a major way for months, I also noticed so many imperfections. Aziz cracked the tiles where he installed the two grab bars in my shower, the cold water knob is actually hot and the hot is cold. Also, when you turn them on and off they continually spin in a full circle. He didn’t clean up the grout residue in my shower which I thought would wash away over time but several months later it’s still there, he also cracked tiles when installing my shower door. The shower door is installed crooked. The electric was improperly set up for my vanity light. I had to hire an electrician to come out and fix their mistakes. From the naked eye my bathroom looks amazing but when you take a good look it appears as if my bathroom remodel may have been Aziz’s first professional job. Lastly on the last day of the job, Aziz’s partner came to my house and got into a whole fist fight with their worker right in my driveway! They were punching each other, pushing each other, screaming and yelling right in front of my house; back and forth from the driveway to the street. Aziz and his team are nice guys but terrible businessmen. Stay away, do yourself a favor and pay the money for someone to do the job correctly, timely and efficiently without any drama.
