- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our sliding scale is $25 $45. Why a sliding scale? And, why such a low cost? Well, because it allows you to spend what you can truly afford, instead of having to sacrifice your well being for the sake of other priorities in life. It also allows more people to come for treatment, and to come more often so that you get the true benefit of acupuncture which is getting, and staying, well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You will need to fill out forms which can take between 10 and 20 minutes, so please come 15 to 20 minutes early to complete them. Or, you may download these forms on the Forms page on our web site, and bring the completed forms with you. There is a $10 one-time paperwork/administrative fee due at your first appointment. Your treatment can be any length. One thing that makes our model different than many people are used to, is that you, as the patient, decide how long your treatment will take. You might become deeply relaxed and sleepy during a treatment, and then at some point, your body will start to wake up and you will know that you are done. At this point you will catch the eye of the acupuncturist and they will come remove your needles. Most people stay anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour and a half. Please wear comfortable clothing. We use a style of acupuncture which allows us to only need access to your feet and legs up to the knee, and your hands and arms up to the elbow so your clothing will need to allow us access to those parts of your body. Please do not wear tight pants or stockings. We are on the third floor of a building with no elevator. If you would like assistance climbing the stairs, call when you get close to the building and one of us will come assist you. Payment MRCA accepts payment of cash and checks, credit cards, too!
