Introduction: I see each student as my teacher and friend and enjoy tailoring each class to your specific goals. Do you want to reduce stress, feel less anxious, and more positive? Let's focus on connecting breath, body and mind through moving + meditating in ways that have helped me and my students tremendously. Have a busy schedule or travel a lot? I can come to you, we can meet at my gorgeous home studio, or we can even do virtual sessions from any location or time zone! Do you want to alleviate back and neck pain? Let's incorporate therapeutic self-massage and alignment-based poses into your personally customized class. Above all, I believe in the importance of staying light-hearted and strategically optimistic. We're not as broken as we think, and we're totally allowed to have fun doing yoga... in my humble opinion. Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness have been helpful tools throughout my life. I began practicing yoga when I was 7, long before I knew that I wanted to teach it, or that it would become such a large part of my life. Since then, these tools have become such integral parts of my life that I decided I can't NOT share these with my community. Yoga gives us a chance to catch our breath, take an honest and whole-hearted look at what's really going on, and care for ourselves. This is such an important practice as the more we care for and love ourselves, the more we have to offer our families and communities. Teaching yoga to people in all walks of their lives is now my passion and vocation. I teach public classes, run kids’ + family programs at studios in Philadelphia, have many private clients that I work with to improve mobility and mitigate stress + pain both locally and remotely! I’d love to work with you to support you in reaching all of your health and wellness goals! Learn more about me at

I am fortunate to have Ashley as my yoga instructor. In my 18 years of yoga practice, she is the first teacher that I have had that practices trauma informed instruction. She has extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology and is excellent with clients that have injuries. She is empathic and has a great sense of humor. I hired her to do myofascial release on my 74 year old mother who has chronic pain. I highly recommend Ashley as a yoga instructor.

Meditation Instruction

OMG. Ashley guided us on a meditation that brought some of us to tears. The energy in the room was palpable, full of love and introspection. Get a session with her before it's too late; someone like this is bound for icon status!

Deciding to take classes with Ashley was one of the best decisions I've made. I hadn't practiced yoga for a few years. I missed it a lot but I didn't feel ready for public classes. Working with Ashley I not only achieved my goal of being comfortable in studio classes; I made great strides in strength, flexibility, and balance. I got so much out of my sessions with Ashley because she paced them perfectly for my level an built on what we had done so that I could eventually handle more challenging asanas. Beyond that, Ashley is a great teacher; her metaphors for how to align and adjust in the poses makes it easy to understand the subtle movements required. She's very well trained and has a great deal of experience with all levels. We even did a great multi generational class with my mother and daughter. More important than any of this is Ashley's true dedication to yoga as a way to approach life and the way that is woven into her classes. She is a true yogi both on and off the mat.

Private Yoga Instruction

Ashely is amazing. She’s a professional and really knows her craft. I have numerous injuries which made me hesitant to start my yoga journey but Ashley worked with me and put my mind at ease. I loved her so much I booked a return session.

Private Yoga Instruction

Ashley is an amazing yoga teacher. She is compassionate, very knowledgeable and adapts lessons to my abilities and strengths. She knows how to gently nudge me to do more than I thought possible. I’ve been working with her for nine months and look forward to every lesson.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I believe that everyone should have access to yoga so a sliding-scale is available. Please let me know if pricing is an issue for you and I am confident we can work something equitable out. This is also why I offer video classes so that we can practice yoga even if you are geographically far or have a very busy schedule. PLEASE NOTE: there is a 12-hour cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment cost (if the session is cancelled within 12 hours of the appointment time). I will waive this once in the case of an emergency, as I understand that life does happen. Please understand that I rely upon teaching as my main source of income and this 50% covers the cost of travel and reserving space and the income I could have made booking another client.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Yoga literally means 'to connect'. Your practice is about connecting to your entire self in a deeper way. I always begin working with a new client by asking them what brought them to this practice, discussing goals for their physical, mental, and emotional health. From there, I build class sequences based on the student's needs and abilities, including therapeutic myofascial release exercises with tennis balls. I also weave in pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, Yoga Nidra, singing bowl meditations, and mindfulness exercises when appropriate or if the student is interested the learning more about the possible benefits of these practices. I always explain exactly what we are doing and why - yoga is experiential learning, not based on blind faith - I want students to try things out and see for themselves whether they find it effective or not!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Seeking 500 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Certification - Three Queens Yoga Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher Certification - Transformation Yoga Project, 2017 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification - Three Queens Yoga, 2017 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification - Amrita Yoga and Wellness, 2015 Additional relevant classes and workshops: Meditation, the Body, and Healing with Professor Nagatomo, Temple University (50 hours) Applied Anatomy and Yoga Therapeutics with Naime Jezzeny DIG Yoga, Philadelphia (13 hours) What Are We Actually Doing In Asana?
