FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do basic dog walks, 1/2 hr for 30 minutes for $16. I do have to charge more if it's beyond 5 miles with any job. $16 for 1/2 hr cat or cats sit. I do food, litter and then spend as much time playing and petting as I can. I will also spend more time if requested. I also like to take some dogs to the park by my house, to a secure area, where we can play and run free. I charge $25 (1/2 hr at the park) and up depending on how long we spend there. I offer concierge services also. I will bring in mail, pick up groceries, dog food and supplies, clean up before you return, so you come home to no mess. Grooming appointments, vet appointments, take garbage out. For those services and packages, we would sit down and come up with a pricing plan that would work for you.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Animals are what I know. I was looking for work as a pet care provider in a few businesses. When i went to check on their experience, I realized I had just as much, if not more. Why couldn't I do that? Saving lives is something I've been doing for a long time though, i can't imagine not being able to do that. So, in the future, once my business hopefully increases, I would like to start a fund for people who fall on hard times.I have met a lot of people who have lost their animals because of medical issues. They had no one who could come in and help them be able to care for their pets .An example would be, someone who needs surgery or a week's stay in the hospital. They don't have and can't afford to have someone come in and feed the cats and change the litter box, spend time with the dog, drop in when they get home. I'd like to start a fund to help with that care. I haven't worked out details but have already met a family who could use that kind of help.
