I am a business owner as well and was completely excited initially to have him work on marketing for the dog training class I had coming up as he seemed very confident in his ability to get leads by the due date I needed them. It was a little over three weeks allotted for at least 4 clients. He created a Logo I did not ask for but he wanted to change look and created a Facebook ad campaign for event. On the 2nd week he asked me to lower price for my classes which are only $25 each and asked me to do things to help him market such as speaking with breeders where I even made an email campaign to my clients to get Breeder leads but no compensation for me for group class which was the goal. He had me pay him 400.00 dollars for 8 hrs of work where he said it would be double his rate for basic service I guess but would give him more time to work. Which I did but now feel completely taken by this guy as he received double the income for zero results and still has his basic rate for service. He answered my marketing request on thumbtack but now as I look through his reviews I do not see any reviews on marketing! He claims to have gotten me 2 leads for my group class and 1 for future training... which is not the goal. The goal was my group classes and the leads he mention never happened. He was handling social media account so I was not following his every move and he made no effort to confirm who lead was as my policy is to complete intake and my clients need to pay 48 hrs prior to rendering service date the picture of the confirmed appointment is an unknown conversation he had with a woman and this never turned in to a lead because I do not take same day payments and he never notified me of who the lead was from or where to find it. So he said he had two leads this is the only one I found and the class was already canceled due to no leads by due date so I never got this persons intake information. Where is the other lead that he mentioned? There is no proof of this and he claims in his partial refund that he got future lead. I do not care about future leads I needed a full group class. He produced zero results and kept half my money. He claims he kept half for logo(I did not ask for I just agreed he could do it), event creation/fb ad campaign (produced no results), two clients (false ) future client (person does not even have a dog)and company’s that may refer me in future again something I did not need now I did not hire him for future leads I hired him for group class now. He does not seem to have an extended background in marketing if so I just don’t understand why you would post in fb groups that are irrelevant to my business with my business name in them and in photo you can see someone replying to the post accordingly. I can not even remove this post because he did it in my business name but from his profile. I was rooting for results in the beginning because this would have been my first group training class as a dog trainer doing private classes for over 5yrs. When you do not provide quality service/zero results you do not give someone half their money back you give them full refund. He complained about going over 8hrs I did not ask him to go over 8hrs he had me pay for and still did not provide results. I feel like he was just trying to keep the money he in no way earned. I am very dissatisfied and had to cancel my training due to only having two clients signed up that came from no efforts of the marketing I paid for. The only reason I gave 3 review is because he I guess tried hard but bad marketing can hurt a business as much as no marketing can. I have no idea how many groups he’s posted in that have damaged business image. I could cry I am so upset.
