Introduction: I am a native speaker and I hold a MA in Spanish Language and Culture. I am a dedicated and creative Spanish instructor and I have been working as a Spanish instructor for more than 10 years. Besides that I have the credentials to teach a second language, I love to teach my language and my culture and my clients feels identified with that. To help my clients to succeed in their goal as a learners of a Second Language. It is a great pleasure to see my students building up in their four skills (writing, speaking, reading, writing) and at the end arriving to their final goal. All of my students in private lessons also planned to travel to some Spanish speaking country and I enjoy helping them to plan this great event.

I feel extremely lucky to have stumbled upon Mildred. I was planning a trip to Spain (Sevilla, Barcelona, Madrid and Granada) and felt that I needed to get a someone who could get me on track with my spanish in a very short period. I had exactly 2 months to learn the language and have a very strict vegan diet that had me a bit concerned about the food, how to order and what did not have meat or dairy. Not only did Mildred get me prepared for this adventure, she was able to be a bit of my tour guide as well. She helped me with the areas I was traveling to, what to see and do, what to eat in that area, what they are known for- all of which I would have never known without her. In just two month I was more prepared than I ever thought to be, and she was so accomodating with the days and times. I have to say that the best part of my lessons were hanging out with her, she even took me to whold food to put the spanish word with the product! Mildred is FABULOUS< i miss my lesson with her. There is not one thing that I wish differently about this experience.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a MA in Spanish Language and Culture and I have been working as a Spanish instructors for more than 10 years in U.S. universities. Currently, I teach in two universities here in Pittsburgh.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started to teach Spanish when I was a graduate teaching assistant of Spanish at the university where I obtained my MA in Spanish.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach Spanish at College level. My students from my private lesson are studying Spanish because they have a personal project (research, a trip to Latin America, to start a new language). Also I have taught in the past to retire professionals who just want to enjoy learning a new language since now they have more free time.
