FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For manuscripts, and short stories, most editors charge anywhere between $2,000 and $5,000. I prefer to keep it fair and charge by the hour. I charge $10 per hour to edit manuscripts rather than by the word count or page. For songs and poetry, I charge $10 per page. For articles, I charge $20 total, as they don't take me longer than a half an hour to forty minutes. For resumes, I charge $45 to create, update, and revamp. The price is never over nor under $45 except for the month of December when I have Christmas prices.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take free online courses at Coursera in English, Composition, Creative Writing, and Reading. I also attend any writers workshop I can find in the Pittsburgh area.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs I do for my clients: - Edit manuscripts, short stories, songs, poetry, and articles (internet, news, media, etc.) - Tutor college students nearby in English by either meeting up 1-2 a week, or via e-mail. - Build/Update/Revamp resumes for people of all ages. I am also in the process of getting a foot in the door to blog writing, as well.
