Introduction: Hello, I work with couples to create customized wedding ceremonies to fit just what they are looking for. Whether you want a short 5 minute ceremony for a small number of guests for a reasonable price or a 20 minute ceremony for a large number of guests and big venue I'll draw from my extensive experience to provide just what you want. Prices range from $150 to $325 depending on the package you select. I create non-religious or religious ceremonies. I have numerous ceremony templates and will show you samples of my work before you decide. If you want to make your ceremony unique and you're looking for new ideas, or if you've got a very specific concept in mind we'll create the perfect ceremony for the two of you. I've performed almost 100 ceremonies since 2018. I've also worked with Integral Weddings a highly rated provider of Officiant services in the Pittsburgh area on Wedding Wire. We really enjoyed working with Bernie and can’t recommend him enough. First, he responded to my inquiry quickly on the app. Then he followed up with me via text, which was definitely appreciated, because it’s a better way for me to communicate. Bernie and I set up a time to talk, and I was able to walk through what my groom and I were looking for. He sent me samples of wedding vows that could be a good start as a template, and offered to talk with me again to finalize if needed. However, I was able to use the templates provided by Bernie to select the format that my groom and I would like. I also decided to do a unity candle, and Bernie made sure I knew where to get, setting the expectation that I’d provide this for our wedding, which of course was completely reasonable. Behind the scenes, my groom was a bit nervous when I told him “I found someone to marry us online!” LOL. I was able to assuage his concerns when I told him I was able to read reviews of prior customers, he was relatively local, and would collect his payment after the ceremony. Once my new husband met Bernie (who was 15 minutes early—bonus points!!!), they hit it off. We are holding a larger wedding ceremony in January which my husband invited Bernie to come back and officiate! Bernie was clearly prepared for our ceremony with everything we talked about printed out in a small, leather notebook binder and dressed in a suit. These are details we didn’t discuss, but it just showed that he cared about the little things that meant so much. After the ceremony, Bernie accepted our invitation to stay for dinner and cake, and visited with our family, which showed that he was interested in us. Again, just small gestures that showed he cares about his work and bringing couples to their happily ever after. Bernie, thank you for being a part of our special day. Couples that choose you will be as fortunate as we were!

Bernie is everything you could ask for in an officiant. He is professional, helpful, kind, and makes has a way of making everything seem calm and under control. We were so lucky to have Bernie officiate our wedding, and would recommend him to anyone out there searching for the right person.

After months and months of planning our special day, we realized a few weeks before the wedding that we had not properly secured a Catholic priest, as intended. We were forced to audible. After a recommendation, we were put in contact with Bernie. From the very start Bernie was time-conscientious and flexible. He knew our situation and was empathetic in trying to remedy it. We communicated over text and zoom and told him what we wanted from our special day; traditionalism with an individual flare. He delivered beautifully. We felt very nervous the day of the rehearsal until he walked us through our lines, putting us at ease. The day of, he was professional and lighthearted - and MORE THAN rose to the occasion. Bernie saved our butts and helped maximize the magic of our wedding day. I will continue to recommend him to anyone and everyone. Thank you again, Bernie! 😊

Bernie is amazing, accommodating and very understanding to how the things you want done (especially if you’re on point with everything)! He allows you to put it all together with his help and when the big day comes, he’s on top of it all! He included our children in the wedding and was very patient with them as 2 of them are special needs! He’s very passionate in the things he does throughout the whole ceremony! He is inexpensive so you never have to stress about affording his service! Bernie is exceptionally talented and does an amazing job with ceremonies (especially ours)! I wouldn’t go with anyone else! If you are looking for anyone to do your wedding, Bernie is the man I recommend 1 billion percent of the way! I’m beyond pleased to have come across such an amazing soul such as Bernie and I’m sure you would too!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are flexible. They depend on what kind of ceremony you want me to create. We go over all of it together. In general pricing starts at $150 for a short elopement type ceremony and the price for a elaborate ceremony, that requires extensive planning is about $325. My prices are also negotiable if you've got budget constraints.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide a free consultation phone call or video meeting, or even in person meeting if you prefer. At that point I explain all of the options I have for ceremonies and answer any questions you have. Then I hold your wedding date on my calendar for a period of time so you have time to think about it before you decide.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied in seminary when I was in college and I am ordained a non denominational minister. But many of many ceremonies do not include religious content. It totally depends on what the couple wants in their ceremony.
