Elaine is truly my saving grace! My Coton, Blizzard, was completely out of control...he has ruled our house for the last five years! As soon as Elaine commanded respect from Blizzard there was a noticeable change in his behavior. She was able to show us that it's actually OUR behavior that is creating Blizzard's aggression, not his own innate characteristics. The last two days we have been following Elaine's instructions and we feel that Blizzard is showing many improvements. He is definitely testing some of his boundaries (because there basically were none for the last five years) but is quick to respond to our corrections and is even outright ignoring some of his old triggers! I now find myself actively looking for people and dogs to walk by so that we can take advantage of every training opportunity (before I would avoid those things like the plague for fear that Blizz would act crazy)! We are confident that with time, consistency, and exposure, Blizzard will finally ease into CALM SUBMISSION and allow us to lead the pack. Our homework this week is to take Blizzard to a few outdoor bar/restaurants where he will be exposed to strange people and dogs. I am looking forward to seeing how Blizzard will behave! I feel that for anyone who feels at the end of their rope with an unruly dog, turning to Elaine for help is a must. Her many years of experience and deep understanding of dog psychology are evident in the way she is able to make strides with the dog's behavior in just one hour. I am finally feeling confident in my ability to lead Blizzard in a way that works for both of us, and to truly enjoy my dog at long last! Thanks, Elaine!
I have had 2 sessions with Steve. He was punctual, professional and extremely helpful. He didn't rush through our sessions and made sure my family was comfortable with our 'homework', even my 8 year old daughter. He has been a HUGE help getting our rescued adopted dog to become a part of our family. We would highly recommend him to anyone that was having issues with their dog's behavior.
Janice has an excellent knowledge of dogs and their behavior. My barkers were quickly calmed by her gentle manner, and the most anxious pups were eating out of her hand and doing tricks at her request within the one visit. Changing the behavior of the humans in the household will take a bit longer, but we expect, with consistency of our new system, to be able to improve the behavior of the pack.
Nico is absolutely incredible. My dog has come so far and truly enjoys his training. I used to pull my hair out over my dogs behavior, but since Nico came along my dog is patient, focused, and always eager to learn something new. I will definitely be continuing to advanced training with Nico.
Reliable, shows up when she says every time. Hard to say dog interaction since we are not home when she walks the dogs. Will continue to use her.
Marion is very knowledge in her skills. She is always very responsive to me and we make our schedules work. You can tell she loves her job and does great work with my dog.
Within one visit there was a significant positive change in my dog's behavior. I know there is still work to do, however, this small change has made a big difference in our lives. I look forward to learning more how to train my dog.
Only had one session so far and we are highly impressed! We learned about our puppy and saw improvements during the first hour. We are excited to continue with our "homework" and look forward to our next session with her.
Heather accomplished more in 3 sessions than previous dog trainers who spent much, much more time, but were less knowledgeable about how to effectively handle my dog's behavioral problems. She went directly to the problem behavior and after each session had produced lasting results. Everyone says my dog is like a whole different dog while maintaining his great enthusiasm for being alive. Positive training and rewards all the way. I would highly recommend her services. She doesn't just talk, she delivers.
This was our first experience with a dog trainer and we are so grateful for Steve’s time. He spent so much time explaining our dog’s behavior and why he does what he does. He is very knowledgeable and patient with the process. He answered all of our questions and was thorough with his answers. We have seen an immediate change in our dog and look forward to continued success with his behavior as we put Steve’s recommendations into practice. Thank you Steve!!!
Nicole at Bucks Dog Training has shown me that you really can teach huskies to be off the leash and not run. It has allowed me to have freedom. My 2 huskies enjoy their freedom off the leash running while I walk behind them. Nicole not only is a professional she has also become a friend. My pups look forward to going to see her and boarding with her. She is professional, attentitive and has a huge love for animals. If you want great results, Bucks Dog Training is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.
Great experience working with Mr. B! Patient with both my dog and myself, collaborative and professional. Highly recommend!
After our first session with our Mastiff Mac...we received the tools we needed to make him a better pet. We saw and felt a noticeable improvement in his behavior. We have a lot more work to do but feel Gary will help us all the way!
I highly recommend Christina and Tony. I don't trust anyone in my house when I'm not home let alone with my dogs and cats. My dogs absolutely love Christina and Tony and look forward to their visits with treats. One of my dogs is scared and nervous around men but she loved her visit with Tony. My cats aren't to personal and tend to hide when strangers are around, not so much with Tony and Chistina. They come out from hiding for belly rubs when they Christina and Tony come over. What I love the most is that they take pictures during each visit and constantly keep me updated after each visit. It's nice knowing my pets are comfortable when I'm not around and getting a lot of love by Christina and Tony. They are very well organized, always on time, and clean. YES clean, I'm a neat freak with bad OCD. They clean up after themselves and the animals after the visit. After being away for multiple days my house is cleaner then I left it. If it wasn't for Christina and Tony I could of never taken a vacation this summer or gone away on the weekends. Not only am I happy, my dogs are too. They don't have to be in a over crowded kennel and can feel safe at home.
Literally amazing!! My kitten has been driving me crazy with his inappropriate urination and Curtis helped me understand the causes for this behavior. He offered valuable insight, provided suggestions on how to modify those behaviors, and how to better connect with my furbaby. I really appreciated his knowledge, professionalism, and empathy.
If you are like me, I want to know if Bridget Gallagher is good without a lot of words. In short, my wife and I highly recommend Bridget for any issues you may be having. Even if you are not having issues, it was well worth the time to be taught how to handle your dog and to know what works with them. We had Sully doing more after 4 hours than 6 weeks of obedience classes.` Now for those who would like more info. Here is the longer story: We adopted Sully from a breeder in Maryland. We met Sully and his brothers and sisters at the breeder and fell in love. Sully was a very calm 5 ½ month old puppy that played well with his family and enjoyed our touch. His personality fit in perfectly. Sully came home with us and was an angel in the car. We introduced him to others and took him out to stores with no issues except he was shy. After a couple of weeks, he started barking and growing at anyone who came into the house and out in public. Our son, who is attending college, came home for a week and Sully would bark and growl at him every time he saw him. He never really warmed up to our son. This behavior seemed to be getting worse (nipping started) and we wanted to find someone who could help us. We were told he would be okay after going to obedience training which we were doing. The class taught us to give him treats. That never really did work. He would do the commands but it never helped with the barking and growling. I felt he had either a fear of people, lacked confidence or we were not doing something right. I owed several dogs and never had a problem. I reached out to a lot of trainers and dog behaviorists who said that they could help but I had seen mixed reviews with all of them. Some were using a prong collar and tough love. I just did not get a good feeling. I called my vet for a reference (who never got back to me) and others to no avail. I did some other searches and finally found Bridget. We saw her testimonials on line, talked with her on the phone and found other reviews not associated with her web site. My wife and I finally made a decision and had Bridget come to our house. When she arrived, Sully growled and barked at her when she met him outside. The next 4 hours were simple AMAZING. She explained to us what we had to do and how to do it. It was just SO simple. Bridget has a wealth of knowledge and experience with dogs and how and why they behave as they do. She is so committed to helping and educating you so you are able to work with your dogâs behavior problem. She even went with us to 2 pet stores to see strangers so she could show us how to stop the barking and growing and how to introduce him to strangers. By the end of the 4 hours, we had Sully: ⢠Being introduced to strangers with VERY little barking and almost no growling ⢠Staying in place with NO words â just hand motions and body language ⢠Sat at the door and staying there without rushing outside â waited to be told to go out ⢠No jumping or counter surfing Understanding how the dog thought was fantastic and so very cool. Just amazing what she taught us and what she could have us do that worked right away. The next day my wife and I took him separately on walks that met strangers and our training worked. He barked a little but we stepped in to stop the barking before the growling started. He calmed down and was able to greet the stranger with no issues.
Louise is very good with animals. She treats the animals with the greatest care and kindness! There are no concerns when Louise is involved.
Loren is an absolute find! Having used dog sitters before I was never so comfortable leaving my pack in her care. She provided me with updates and videos every day and was so wonderful to my dogs! You can completely feel the love she has for animals and the care that she takes to make you comfortable while away is second to none! Awesome job! David
My dog responded very well to techniques at Spring Canine Academy
