Vanessa B. says, "He was very professional, answered any questions I had, and was really patient and understanding when I changed my mind on the flooring I wanted installed. I also needed to reschedule the install date due to the flooring I wanted needing to be delivered and again he was understanding and worked with me. English is not his first language, but he used a pretty accurate translator to make sure any details/ questions were communicated accurately. It wasn't a problem at all for me as he worked hard and his work was great. He came in the day before to demo and prep the floor and baseboards. I was impressed at how quickly he worked and the next day he came to install the floor. I chose glue down vinyl because of budget constraints, but he does great work with LVP click and lock flooring. Overall really pleased with how the floor came out. If you're nervous because he's not a large we'll known flooring company, hopefully this review gives you some reassurance that RK Service will take good care of you and your flooring project. (Note: the wacky quarter round trim you see in the pictures isn't his work, it was from the previous home owner/flipper. I sadly couldn't pay for him to fix and paint all of my trim, but I believe he does that work too if you need it)"See more

FAQs

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

There are several great options for waterproof basement flooring. For example, epoxy floors are waterproof but are thicker and sturdier than paint. Make sure the concrete substrate has been prepared for application.

Tile is a designer’s dream, giving you a moisture-resistant surface that’s infinitely customizable. Rubber sheets or tiles are also good waterproof options, particularly for playrooms, workout areas or laundry rooms.

Vinyl tiles and planks imitate wood or other materials very convincingly, provide moisture resistance and last a long time. And sheet vinyl is affordable and a great waterproofing solution for those in need of quick fixes.
