We have a 100-year-old house, and like a lot of older homes, the living room was clearly never designed with big flat-screen TVs in mind, especially not mounting one above the fireplace. It felt like the only place that made sense, but I also knew I did not want the TV stuck way too high. That’s why I bought a MantelMount. It is not cheap, but neither is the neck pain that comes from a badly placed TV. Once the mount arrived, I realized very quickly that this was not a DIY project for me. Between the weight of the mount and TV and trying to get everything perfectly centered above an old fireplace, I knew I needed someone who really knew what they were doing. That’s where Edwin came in. He took his time measuring everything carefully and got it right the first time. Our house has old 2x2 studs, which made me even more nervous, but Edwin installed the mount so securely that he literally showed me he could do pull-ups on it. That definitely gave me confidence it was not going anywhere. The finished result looks perfect, works perfectly, and gives us the best of both worlds: a clean-looking living room and a TV we can actually watch comfortably. This is not an easy mount to install, and I would not trust it to just any handyman. Edwin has the experience to do it right. If you need a TV mounted, hire the TV Mountin Man.
