From the beginning Mrs. Patrinakos miss informed us on what needed to be moved. She said she had no boxes, bags or small items and she was on the 1 floor. She had 4 full rooms, boxes, and bags all on the 2 floor and also 2 sofas that needed to be hoisted out a window, which would be an additional charge. Our men arrived at 8:20 not 8:40. As soon as we arrived Mrs. Patrinakos informed us that she had already prepaid what she had budgeted for her move which was $348.00. (3 men at $116 per hour) After assessing the job the driver informed her that to complete the job it would 5 to 6 hours. She said that was unacceptable and she was only willing to pay the 3 hours. She told the driver to move all the big pieces he could in the time she had prepaid. Two men did not make it to work that day so rather than cancel her job we sent a 2 man crew. The rate was adjusted to $90.00 an hour. Because she was not happy with only 2 men we were able to take a man from another crew to make her happy. We informed Mrs. Patrinakos that we would do our best to keep the job at 3 hours but do to the fact that her furniture was large and her stairway was tight we would not be able to take all the big furniture so she decided to start with the bedroom set and take it from there. We were able to take the bedroom and 4 other pieces. At no point did our men tell her that they had another job to do. Our men like to work as many hours as possible especially around the holidays. She claims she paid another mover $350.00 to finish her move which we don’t understand because we would have loved to finish her move. She claims she paid almost $400.00 but in reality she paid $348.00. Of that amount she was refunded $45.00 so her total bill was $303.00. At no point did she pay for our men to “take a joy ride” as she stated. She only paid for the time we worked. There was never a sprinkler or a ceiling that was ruined. Our company has been in business almost 70 years and that does not happen for a business that is “dishonest, unprofessional, and the worst company ever” as stated by the customer. The owners and employees take pride in the work they do.
