Introduction: I am a full time professional dog walker and pet sitter based in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. I have been caring for animals for over 20 years and have developed a deep love and respect for our furry friends. I have owned Peace & Paws for 10 years now (8 years in Cincinnati, Ohio/NKY & 2 here in CHS) and I adore what I do, it is truly rewarding and fulfilling. I may be covered in pet fur and dog drool at any given moment but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
In my short time here in Charleston I have grown a superb community reputation which stems from the high standards I have and the quality care that I give to each of my clients. My hard work and dedication has proven such as I won ‘Platinum Best Pet Sitter in Charleston’ for 2021 & 2022 with Charleston Community Votes!
My services include dog walking, cat drop ins, overnight pet sitting (my speciality) feeding, and administering medication, just to name a few.
I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I always take the time to get to know each animal and their specific requirements as well as forming a relationship with their owners! Love, pets, nose boops, cuddles, play time and snuggles are standard services and practices with every visit.
I believe that exercise and outdoor time are essential for a pet's well-being, which is why I offer personalized dog walking services. Whether your furry friend prefers a leisurely stroll or a more rigorous hike, I will tailor our walks to their energy level and preferences.
As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of trust and reliability when it comes to entrusting someone with the care of your furry family members. You can rest assured that I will treat your pets with the same love, awareness and attention that I give to my own. Bristol, Allie Ray, BooBoo, Pete, Rose... and Myrtle the tortoise!
I am insured, and have undergone training in animal care and their behaviors, everyday I continue to learn more about pets and my niche of pet sitting. Additionally, I am certified in pet CPR and first aid, so you can have, you guessed it, like my motto says, ‘Peace of mind while you’re away’ knowing that your pets are in safe hands.

Rebecca is absolutely fantastic, she watched my GSD Canna and my cat David for five days while I was away! I got picture updates several times a day and a wonderful welcome home card. My house was in the same condition I left it in (as I love to clean prior to vacation and come home to a clean house) absolutely shout out to her services, My dog got long walks, both the cat and dog got treats and love, she even let them sleep with her every night and cuddle!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rebecca was phenomenal with my 2 dogs and had great communication with us. Super easy to schedule with on her website or via text. It made us so happy seeing how our dogs interacted with her and how happy they were when she came over to pick them up for walks! We definitely recommend Rebecca for dog walks.

We’re extremely happy we found Peace & Paws! Rebecca is wonderful and we know our cat is in good hands with her. It gives us a lot of peace of mind to know she’ll be checking in on him while we’re away.

Rebecca is like an animal whisperer! As a self proclaimed cat hater and dog lover, there was a learning curve when I became the owner of 2- 4 month old kittens. I had already hired Peace and Paws to take care of our 6 year old Bischon Fris, Walter. My kids talked me into the cats and with both Walter and myself adjusting to our new family members, Rebecca really taught me things about the dog/cat dynamic that I wasn't aware of. She has a vast knowledge of pets and thank God for that. She informed me that we had a house plant that was dangerous to the cats! The cats have grown on me and I love them now that I understand their unique ways. I can't express how fortunate we are to have her take care of our extended 4 legged family.
