We hired Evan to cater dinner for our elopement/micro-wedding (6-people) which we were hosting at an AirBNB. Charleston has a very high bar for food, and we've eaten at a number of Michelin Star restaurants over the years so the bar was set very high. Throughout our experience with Evan, he constantly impressed us with his knowledge of cuisine and creativeness with menus. We gave him very little direction other than no Oysters and no Olives and he delivered a spectacular, 8-course tasting menu using ingredients sourced from the local area and his farm. We are still talking about his food to this day. When tasked with coming up with a wine pairing to go with the meal, Evan also rose to the challenge and provided top-notch selections that went perfectly with each course! Each course was presented to us with a backstory of what it was, why Evan liked it, and recommendations for how to eat it. Some of the presentations were things we do not commonly see (Brussel Sprouts served on the stalk) and others were fantastic takes on different types of cuisine. Regardless, each course was delicious and left our mouths watering at the thought of what was coming next. There was even a bit of disappointment at the end that more courses weren't coming (despite our bellies being very full!). We would hire Evan again in a heartbeat and would gladly give him full creative control a second time to wow us with more of his culinary creations.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Evan came to cook for a special event at our home in December. We absolutely loved what he prepared for us and warm and inviting personality. He was easy to talk to when preparing the meal and was very polite. The food he prepared was delicious and I would totally hire him again! Listen to his recommendations on the cuisine and he will not disappoint! 5-STARS!!! I cannot wait to have him in our home again!

🛑 STOP!!!🛑 SCROLL NO FURTHER!!! Evan created and prepared a menu for my Wife and I that quite possibly was the best meal we’ve ever had!!!! During our 3rd or 4th course I looked at my Wife who was clearly also in heaven from the flavors of what we were eating and said: “this is the kind of food and the type of experience that reminds you that you’re alive.” I’m not sure I could say it any better than this. Evan introduced each dish to us and explained why he created it the way he did and why it was special. It was an immersive experience. It was obvious that everything was chosen and prepared with an acute attention to detail. There was an evident focus on the freshness and presentation of the ingredients. It was really a pleasure to have someone who clearly is so passionate about what he does come to my home and prepare this kind of food for us. Wow the socks off your dinner party tonight or just be your wife’s new hero!!! Book Evan today!!! Once he opens his own restaurant in downtown Charleston, it’ll be too late!!! Be able to say he cooked for you before he becomes the full fledge celebrity chef my wife and I are sure he’ll be!!!
