Be as specific as you can about what you expect. If you miss a deadline, you may be creating a crisis for your writer. Research takes time, so try to do as much as you can. Otherwise, your project may take more time, or another direction.

Technical writing can be creative, too. A good example of this would be a television or movie script. I can do this sort of writing, as well as manuals, instructions, and corporate policy.
