My name is Coach TK and I am so glad that you found my profile here on Thumbtack! I recently returned to the platform after a year long hiatus and I am excited for the chance to work with you. I am a classically trained, powerhouse recording artist, worship leader with my Master's of Art in Worship. I specialize in Gospel, Jazz, R&B, and Pop music. I love to sing and teach those genres. My experience spans over 20 years and I bring with me a deep understanding of how the instrument of the voice works along with professional vocal techniques that improve tone, increase range, and develop personal style.
I help students, ranging from beginner to professional, to develop healthy singing habits and vocal control - which prevents over-singing and vocal strain. Instead of yelling pitchy notes, my VoiceTrain technique helps to build confidence and let the voice shine.

We had a wonderful consultation today with Coach TK via Google Meet for my 8-year-old granddaughter. It wasn’t a full lesson—just an introductory session to meet, connect, and do a little testing. Coach TK played a fun game with her to check if she could hear and identify high and low tones, and to make sure she wasn’t tone deaf—which my granddaughter did extremely well!
Coach TK was absolutely amazing—so warm, professional, and welcoming. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and such positive energy that shined through even online. Her passion for teaching and working with kids was clear from the start. We’re so excited to start actual lessons with her next week! I highly recommend Coach TK to anyone looking for a kind, talented, and encouraging music teacher.

TK’s energy is contagious. She loves singing and is passionate about it. She makes the lessons fun. It’s like a play date for adults. I've enjoyed singing all my life but never had vocal lessons. At age 45, I decided that it's not too late to gain some new skills and increased confidence in performing - even if it's only at a coffeeshop or karaoke! TK is a dynamite teacher! After only 2 lessons, I have learned techniques to stretch my voice in ways I didn't know possible. She is extremely professional and comes prepared with a lesson plan that includes warm-ups, theory, and song practice (you pick the song). She also works with my 9 year old daughter who is starting to sing with the right pitch (this in and of itself is totally AMAZING!) and more importantly increasing her love of music. Totally recommend - she's fantastic!
