I am very happy I found Amanda Fitness. From the day we met during the consultation she made me feel very comfortable. Usually when dealing with trainers it’s kind of a judgement type situation but I never felt that with Amanda. She linked me with Meg and Meg is an amazing trainer. I have terrible back pains from child birth and emotional sometimes from being self conscious but that has been changing. I have learned stretching techniques, able to work out and not damage my body, she always makes sure I am feeling great before she leaves and never leaves me in pain. I have children around and she is so understanding and patient. She has gotten me on the right path with a eating schedule and I have been slimming down. I get so excited when I see myself now cause I notice the small changes. She has saved me and my mental. Oh and the cost is the best I have ever seen for personal training. I highly recommend. I can’t say enough about Amanda and her trainer, Radiance. First, Amanda spent so much time (so much!) talking with me about my goals. I shared that I was an out of shape, aging athlete, that needed a new vision for what my workout regimen needed to be. The high-impact workouts that I was used to were unbearable and I became discouraged. Until I spoke with her. She helped me understand, acknowledge and lean into how my changing hormones and sports injuries should inform the expectations (and pressure!) I put on myself. She connected me with a trainer, Radiance, based on my schedule, and our partnership is one I now value and which extends beyond our sessions. You can see results without killing yourself. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?We will meet during a free consultation, to make sure we are a good fit. A fitness assessment is done initially (and redone every 8 to 12 weeks), as well as intense discussions regarding dietary intake, which are included in the pricing. All sessions are an hour long and the same price whether you pay for 4, 8, or 12 at a time. You can pay via Paypal or other credit card, or with our Square credit card reader. You are also welcome to pay with check or cash. Duet training is $10 extra.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Our free consultations involve meeting you out for coffee, or at your house. We talk about your goals and go over your health history and lifestyle habits in order to help us come up with a customized exercise and eating plan for best helping you meet your goals. No two clients are alike, so we like to make sure we are getting as much information as possible to ensure our program is tailored to your needs, likes and dislikes, as well as working around any physical limitations you may have. We also talk extensively about what your typical day's diet looks like, so we can help you with adjustments to help you meet your goals. Keeping a dietary log is required.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Our trainers are all nationally recognized, personal trainers with NCCA accredited certifications, and several of us also have Bachelor's degrees in Exercise Science. Three of us have over 20 years of training experience. I was an athlete my whole life, and began lifting weights 25 years ago. I constantly stay informed on the latest research and trends in exercise and nutrition to make sure my clients get science-based workouts and nutrition advise for the best and fastest (and safest) results possible. Our passion is guiding our clients to be the best they can be! I am also trained in hypnosis, and have discovered that it is an excellent tool to help folks change beliefs about their ability to lose weight, increase the ability to stick with healthy eating, and increase weight loss success.
