Hired on Thumbtack

The guys at K9 Good Manners were great. They spent a lot of time training my dog, and they spent an additional 2-3 weeks training him at no charge to ensure that he was properly trained.

Hired on Thumbtack

I dropped my husky, Zana, off just a few days ago so this review isn't about her training, but the experience I had with John at K9 Good Manners up to this point. Everything was excellent - John made himself available to answer all of my questions and really made me comfortable about choosing his services. When I dropped off Zana he did a thorough interview going over all the needs I had with her. Even though it was really hard to leave her, he made me feel comfortable that she was in good hands. It's only been a couple of days but so far each day he has sent me texts and video to let me know how Zana was adjusting. I'm really looking forward to having a trained dog in six weeks time.

Hired on Thumbtack

A few months ago i adopted a sweet little dog named rush Shortly after i had moved into a brand new apartment. Shortly after that, i descovered my dog was a huge hand full, destroyed half of my apartment in less than a month. He had horrible separation issues, and was very aggressive towards other dogs. I discovered thumbtack and immidiately heard from john, he then called me to further communicate his program and really got to know me. The damage was getting out of hand and I was even having some family financial issues. After johns program I'm not afraid to leave the dog alone anymore. Johns obedience program is very smart and worked perfectly for my aggressive dog I highly recommend!! 5 stars!

John has done a wonderful job with two rescue/shelter dogs who went through his six week course! These were two dogs who were very out of control because of their unfortunate background, but they were perfect after training and have both done wonderfully living in a home. He also has a great method of training that helps to build confidence rather than to cause the dog to behave out of fear. I would not take my dogs anywhere else for training! I

John was great to work with, even from two states away. He was very responsive to my questions and requests. He even drove several hours to meet me half way and pick up my dog Dexter, so that I didn't have to make the entire 6-hour drive to his location. In addition, John and his team did an excellent job training Dexter. When we picked him up after the 6-week course, he was a completely different dog! And during those 6 weeks, he would send pictures and give updates about how the training was going. I would highly recommend John and K9 Good Manners.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with all issues to include Aggression, house training, jumping, nipping, digging, chewing, puling, and many more. We are available to help you and your family find the right dog that fits your/your families needs and train the dog as well. We also do provide Protection Training if clients have a dog that is selected for this type of job. Protection Dog's are also available for purchase.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Remember it's not the business plan your hiring. It's the Trainer. You want a Trainer who is accomplished and can articulate to you what and how they do the job. Dog training takes compassionate people. Not people looking to franchise and get rich quick.
