The guys at K9 Good Manners were great. They spent a lot of time training my dog, and they spent an additional 2-3 weeks training him at no charge to ensure that he was properly trained.

I dropped my husky, Zana, off just a few days ago so this review isn't about her training, but the experience I had with John at K9 Good Manners up to this point. Everything was excellent - John made himself available to answer all of my questions and really made me comfortable about choosing his services. When I dropped off Zana he did a thorough interview going over all the needs I had with her. Even though it was really hard to leave her, he made me feel comfortable that she was in good hands. It's only been a couple of days but so far each day he has sent me texts and video to let me know how Zana was adjusting. I'm really looking forward to having a trained dog in six weeks time.

John is an excellent dog trainer! Our German shepherd was not socialized when we got her and would cower and cry at any attempt to put a leash on her. Now she is well socialized, very well behaved and is the great dog she was meant to be. Even our three year old can walk her unattended.

John Smithhart is an amazing dog trainer. Her took what seemed to be an untrainable dog and trained him. The program was scheduled for six weeks and Spike was slowly responding. John saw the need for more improvement and kept Spike for 3 more weeks. Then John drove with Spike back to Ocean City and taught my family how to deal with Spike. John had the patients of a saint!,

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We work with all issues to include Aggression, house training, jumping, nipping, digging, chewing, puling, and many more. We are available to help you and your family find the right dog that fits your/your families needs and train the dog as well. We also do provide Protection Training if clients have a dog that is selected for this type of job. Protection Dog's are also available for purchase.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Remember it's not the business plan your hiring. It's the Trainer. You want a Trainer who is accomplished and can articulate to you what and how they do the job. Dog training takes compassionate people. Not people looking to franchise and get rich quick.
