Bear Rocky says, "During home inspection a water spot was found on drywall near shower. Previous owner replaced drywall without actually repairing the leak. After numerous visits from the shower door installar and tile installer neither could determine where the leak was coming from. Called American Leak Detection and they came out that week. Charles located dampness in two drywall panels and the baseboard. He also discovered that the tiles in the corners needed caulking and had cracked grout instead. Water was coming from two areas. One was from the cracks and also from under the shower door. The shower door was missing a flap. He lifted a tile under the door and could see water. It was both the door and the tile. I then hired a contractor to replace the tile on the ledge and he slanted the tile slightly so the water would run inside of the shower. He also replaced the shower door with a sliding door. It's been 6 months and we haven't discovered any more water spots or damp walls. Thank you Charles for helping us find out where the leak was coming from. I would use and recommend the service again. I only gave 4 stars because it was very expensive. They do a lot of leak investigations with swimming pools. Think they would get more residential business/homeowner business if they came down in price. It actually didn't take him that long to find the leak. Less than 20 - 30 minutes."See more
