Jose was hired to come and remove a built in desk and bookshelf. I was so impressed with his skills and personable, honest approach that I hired him on the spot for some additional work, which he finished the same day. He is reliable, affordable, personable and highly skilled. If he can fit me into his schedule I will hire Jose for all my building/renovation needs going forward.

Jose was the only contractor from Thumbtack that offered to come see the damage before providing a quote. That was a big deal because one of the other contractors gave unrealistic solutions & prices. Also, 2 other guys have accessed the damages and did not know how to repair the wood paneling. Jose, even went above and beyond to replace more than we originally spoke to and explained all the work done.
I will definitely hire him again to repaid woodwork.

Jose and his team did an excellent job installing baseboards and cove base for me. I had just under 300 linear feet of baseboard and cove base(installed as shoe mounding) I needed to get cut and installed. Jose was responsive in the bid/estimate process and was able to schedule me quickly within the week. Jose showed up on time and they went right to work getting the job done!
I am very pleased with how the baseboards and cove base I had installed turned out -if I have any more trim work or house work/carpentry in the future, I will definitely be using Jose and his team.

Jose was very knowledgeable about the problem. Our column was rotting due to rain and there was lots of pressure and our roof was starting to sag. He came and fixed the problem in a timely manner and it looks great. Also, I can tell its much sturdier and more level.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No I don't have any of that, as I told my son one.by the way he will be a civil engineer soon,I remember him asking me how much do you charge to do a job and a told him the basic rule is the cost of materials and need to know how long it's going to take you to get it done.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's a very simple process I find customer that needs a service if I feel and able to perform the service on a competitive price I will try hard to get, ones we agree upon a the work will be done.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went t college for a couple of years, but I couldn't finish up for financial reasons, that's the reason I started working on construction which I don't regret,I being doing good I am good on what I do I have over 30 yeas experience on carpentry,concrete, rebar and grading and general work related to construction.
