With a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Fitness & Wellness from Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama and a Master of Sport Science degree in Sport Fitness from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne (Alabama), and as a Master Certified Personal Trainer Phase II with AAA/ISMA, I have over 19 years of experience in the Health & Fitness Industry—both as an educator and as a consultant. I am that guy that helps people reach their fitness goals and specializes in bridging the gap to the next level. Seeing the smile on my clients faces and knowing they have fought hard to lose weight or gain healthy weight gives me the greatest joy. I met Jovon through Thumbtack after searching online for several days for a personal trainer. I was ready to get back into a workout routine after leaving a local gym 6 months prior. I knew that I needed accountability and someone with professional knowledge to help get me into shape. The first time I met Jovon, I came to the gym where we talked about my goals and how long I wanted to work with him. I was so hesitant to commit to anything longer than 3 months, but after working with him for 3 months now, I am so glad I did! I am really starting to see a change in my strength, my muscles are more toned, and I just feel better in my skin. Seeing results only motivates me more! The first couple of weeks were tough because I was so out of shape. The fist day, I was ready to quit after the first 5 minutes. Jovon always pushes me to the limit, but encourages me every step of the way, and that is exactly what I needed. I work with Jovon 3 times a week, and never know what to expect the next time I come in. He is very innovative with the various exercises, and I look forward to what he has planned the next time.

Jovon Times has been my personal trainer since July 2016 and he had been asking me for over a year to come and see what he does at his facility. He had listened to my stories of my health care concerns and needs and promised that he could deliver the results I needed. Since my first visit and joining his facility, I have lost several inches, I have an ENORMOUS amount of energy to get through my day and the health concerns including joint pain have significantly DECREASED! The size of the gym is perfect. It is not so large that you have to search for the equipment you need and Jovon is always available during normal hours to ask for help when it is needed. The group training sessions help because it allows me the opportunity to work hard toward my goals with others who may have the same goals as I do. The training sessions also allow me the personal time to ask questions and get good information I need about my form and how I am doing my exercises so I do not hurt myself. I love this gym better than any of my other gym experiences because I feel like Jovon cares about my well being. That makes the world of difference to me. I really think everyone that reads my message should really come to 214 Main Street in Ft Mill and check out what he does and join! You will not be disappointed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You will have 24/7 unlimited access to the gym. All of the packages are MONTHLY ( 4,8,12 or 16 personal training sessions per month). All of my sessions are 30 minute workouts. You will get nutritional counseling and customized training sessions to fit any specific need. Billing is monthly via a checking account. All packages must be used for that month only and can not rollover to the next month. No refunds given for missed sessions. No calls/no shows will be charged for that session if notice is not received 24 hours before the session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first give a free consultation. Basic information such as name, age and address which will be added to your personal paperwork. You will fill out a questionnaire so I can get important information about you, your health goals and your limitations or weakness.
