There is no need for you to call anyone else! Najera and his team are the people you want to work with. We originally posted for help with painting in our house, but we were also looking separately for a contractor to remove a wall between two bedrooms, repair the molding and the floor, and enclose one side of a jack and jill bathroom. Najera responded to me right away and continued this level of communication throughout our work together. When we learned Najera and his team also help with this type of work, we decided to work with him for everything. And we are so glad we did!! He and his team were amazing. They are fast, professional, extremely skilled, and seamless in all the work they do. His prices were HALF what the contractors quoted us for the construction. Najera and his team did such an incredible job with the construction that it appears as if the new room was always that way. He and his team painted our entire house, top to bottom, and their work is, simply put, the very best. When everything was finished, we even found another project for Najera and his team, which again was seamless, fast, and of the highest quality. Working with Najera is an absolute pleasure, and he has become like family to us. We will call him for everything we need from now on. Thank you for our beautiful home, Najera!

I have now used Ricky and Paul for multiple projects and will definitely save their numbers for future projects. Paul was able to fix a mold and mildew sheet rock ceiling in my garage, found the leak and patched the nail holes that they found in my roof. They can do just about everything with very reasonable prices! Ricky has now painted multiple rooms in my house and did a great job. He did such a good job, that I recently hired him to paint my moms entire interior (Ceilings, Wall, and Trim) of her new house and an outdoor pergola. He did a spectacular job there too! My mom actually walked in and she wanted to cry it was so wonderful and made such a difference. They were even able to put in a bathroom door for us and did a wonderful job with that too. Cannot say enough about Ricky and Paul. THANKS!

Jason and his crew stained my new fence in the backyard and they also painted my shutters in the front of the house. They did an excellent job and my fence looks fantastic and my shutters look brand new even though they are 8 years old. I will be sharing his business name with all my friends and will definitely use him again when I need some work done on my house. His prices are reasonable too. Thanks Jason!

I'm a highly skilled painter. I've been painting for 15 years. I'm very confident in my work, and I have completed work for the military as well. I'm looking forward to completing more jobs for those in need of my work.

I patch holes in walls, and I tile floors. I also lay sheetrock. I paint all different types of things such as walls, cabinets, etc. I do ceramic tiles as well. I do a host of other things upon request.

We will paint your house better than your last painter. We are going to keep your house clean and cover everything. We know that you are always right, and we're happy working for you. You will be happy to have us working.

My fiancee and I clean residential houses, not commercial; do interior and exterior painting; install flooring, such as carpet, vinyl, VCT tile, and wood laminate; and also offer professional moving services.

I'm the best at what I do. I'll make sure that it's done right and in a timely fashion. Remember, you'll be amazed when it's done by Hayes!

Our service is top quality. We are best known for our custom painting abilities, but we are skilled and equipped to handle many different projects that may need to be done around the house or office. We are prepared to do anything from painting (interior/exterior), to hanging/replacing drywall, to clean-up inside and outdoors. All of our work is guaranteed. My wife and I just opened this business at the beginning of the year, and we feel that the best way to bring in good business is to produce top quality work. In return we get the benefit of our customers referring their family and friends to us. My wife and I are simply a 2 person crew with plenty of faith, and are very excited to see what this wonderful year has in store for us.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do painters cost?

The national average cost for an interior painter ranges between $450 and $900. Interior painters can tackle everything from complete color makeovers in each of your rooms to touching up an accent wall to painting pieces of furniture. The square footage and complexity of the project, along with the materials needed, are the main factors that will affect cost. Other factors include whether you supply the paint yourself or want the painter to do so, whether you move the furniture and do the prep work or ask them to do it, and whether any repair work is needed on the walls. Painting the ceiling and the trim will also have an effect on cost. The type of paint you choose can also raise or lower your house painting cost. A gallon of paint may range from $20 to over $100, depending on quality and brand. Ask your painter if they charge per hour or per square foot, and how much you can save by doing prep work (moving furniture, etc.) yourself.

How much does it cost to paint the interior of a house?

Interior house painting costs are calculated on a few key factors. Nationally, interior house painting projects range from $200 to $2,500. The wide price range indicates how much square footage, paint selection and labor can affect cost. One pro uses a laser to measure each room, subtracting the size of the doors and windows, and then bases the quote on the square footage of the actual surfaces to be painted. Painters may provide you with savings if you opt to paint your entire home rather than just having one room or an accent wall painted. For example, the average house painting cost for an 8x12 room with 8-foot ceilings is roughly $200, when contractor-grade paint is used. Painting ceilings, baseboards and frames can also affect cost. Pros may charge per linear foot to smooth and paint baseboards. In one area pros might charge 50 cents per linear foot to paint baseboards, while pros in another part of the country could charge $1.50 per linear foot for the same task. Painters may charge flat rates for painting door and window frames, with one charging $20-$25 and another $60 per door. Geography and regional costs to do business play a major role in the cost of interior painting. The same painter in a rural region has less to pay in taxes, transportation, insurance and overhead than they would in a major city like New York.

How much does a painter charge per room?

The cost to paint a room will vary based on the size of the room, the type of paint you select, any ceiling or trim work needed, and any repairs needed. If no repairs or other additional work is needed, painting a room with contractor-grade paint could range from $1 to $2 per square foot, including materials. Selecting a luxury paint (some cost more than $100 per gallon) will certainly increase your house painting costs. Here are some additional examples of average house painting costs, per room:

  • 12x12 room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $125
  • 12x12 room with an 8-foot ceiling: about $100
  • 14x16 master bedroom with a 9-foot ceiling: about $150
  • 14x16 master bedroom with an 8-foot ceiling: about $125
  • 16x16 living room with a 9-foot ceiling: about $175
  • 16x16 living room with a 20-foot ceiling: starting at $225
