I have had many trainers and Andy really sticks out as one of the best. I’ve been with Andy for a month or two. He is a good friend but also knows he is there to do a job. So if you want to be babied and pampered, you are going to the wrong trainer. Now, I’m not saying he is a drill sergeant either but he is the perfect mix of the two and that is hard to find! Trust me! Andy is available for any questions outside of the training session. It’s almost like he is on call and that is important to me when I have questions about any discomfort I may have as a result of workouts. Andy is very well rounded. I requested workouts focused more on figure skating and he said, “OK!” He has tailored workouts more towards me excelling at figure skating incorporating some stretching which I think is based on yoga moves. He is very knowledgeable about the human body both the physical aspects (muscles, bones, etc.) and the nutritional side. I have had a couple surgeries (ACL reconstruction and SLAP tear) which Andy is mindful of. Andy is also versatile. He doesn't just know what to do with weights but also uses many other techniques to help you meet your goal. Andy is great at knowing when to push you and when to back off which is important. Andy is really good at making sure he corrects your form when you are not doing it right which I really like. He isn’t one of those trainers that will show you what to do then not pay attention to you. His focus is on you, PERIOD! He is worth every penny!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have a studio in Brentwood I work out of, where i charge $45 for 30min sessions. I do in-home training also and charge $85 for a 50min session. If I come to you I charge more for your convenience and my time away from the studio. I charge $150/mo for online/phone coaching for Triathlon, running and Weight Loss. I do not do phone or email Yoga.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I help to get people stronger both mentally and physically. I help athletes to get faster at their sport whether a runner, cyclist or triathlete. I have helped weight loss clients to overcome the cravings that happen when exercise goes up but diet does not change. I write eating programs for weight loss, racing weight and for improved athletic and mental performance.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

There are trainer and there are coaches. Some are both. A coach is able to get to the heart of your training needs and build an entire program for long term success and guide you through any sticking points. A wealth of knowledge and strong intuition can lead to a greater ability to get you results in the gym and over all health.
