I've taught strength training for the last 10 years and especially love working with beginners. I pride myself in safely introducing strength training to women so they can benefit from increased muscle mass and ease of movement in every-day life.
I also specialize in working with women entering perimenopause and those already in menopause. Strength training and strategic nutrition are key to thriving during this period of life. I am Menopause 2.0 certified to effectively train women in this demographic. If you find your usual workouts have become ineffective or if you're stuck on the elliptical and aren't seeing any progress, progressive strength training may be the next step for you.
Fitness that's easy to access is the most important variable when it comes to exercise consistency. I prepare each session and meet at a location convenient to you. While saving in travel and planning time, you'll benefit from a workout focused on safety and building a strong foundation to progress toward your goals.

Lea is fantastic to work with! She teaches you the fundamentals of weight training, helps you build strength, and chooses modifications if needed, to get you to your goals. She’s highly knowledgeable and her workouts progress you, without overtraining. She’s even worked with my chiropractor to choose the best moves to support my mobility and recovery from a past injury. I can’t recommend her enough! She’s the best!

Lea is currently training my daughter. She is willing to travel to her to train. My daughter has been enjoying the training sessions! Lea is professional, personable, and very educated about my daughters needs and goals. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a trainer!

Working with Lea has been a real journey for me. From not being able to go up a couple flight of stairs without getting winded in the middle to being able to go through multiple sets of exercises with steadied breathing. She provided me with a meal plan that incooporated some of my favorite foods and I wasn't miserable during this transition. She helped me realize that I could lose weight in the comfort of my own home. I have never been healthier or happier than I am now.

The traditional gym and personaltraining structure I have tried in the past hasn’t worked for me simply because I lack the discipline to hold myself accountable, but this time around I decided to have a trainer come to my home. That way, I can’t just ditch the workout or say “sorry can’t make it today”. Having an at-home trainer is truly a no excuses approach and has allowed me to consistently workout for the past 3 months at least twice a week (with the exception of 1 or 2 weeks of vacation time).
More importantly though let’s talk—no, RAVE about Lea. SHE IS PHENOMENAL. When I say this woman is God’s gift to man I WISH I was over-exaggerating. Not only does she have the best rates in the area, but without fail she always shows up to your appointment on time, always confirms prior, accommodates schedule changes, is an excellent communicator, offers a lot of encouragement and empathy. She will meet you where are and design the best workout for you. She is all about adapting and adjusting so if something isn’t working we just modify, simple as that. She’s very careful to listen to what your body needs and ensure she’s pushing you just the right amount. She keeps track of your progress with 6-week fitness assessments and let’s just say from when I first started, I HAVE GROWN BABY! She’s also held me accountable to building better habits and making those small, but necessary lifestyle changes like drinking more water or eating nutritiously (definitely work in progress, but hey she checks in w me!). She also has a radiant personality and a wealth of fitness knowledge. (can you tell I just love working with her yet?) I’ll be keeping this arrangement for as long as I can and if she has the capacity in her schedule for you, TAKE THAT SPOT. YOU DESERVE A TRAINER LIKE HER! 💪

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$80 / 60 minute in-person session
$65 / 45 minute in-person session
Fees to be paid at the completion of each session.
There is no contract, you are free to discontinue sessions anytime.
Cancellations or rescheduled sessions within less than 12 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a fee of half the session price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free 30 minute virtual/phone consultation. This time allows you to explain what you'd like to achieve by hiring a trainer, your past experiences and preferences. I'll also collect health/medical history information.
When we agree to meet for a first session, I will prepare an initial workout designed to help me assess your current level which will inform the longer- term program I design. I will also perform several movement assessments.
In your second session, I will take circumference measurements (depending on your preference) and you will complete your first benchmark workout.
Subsequent sessions will include plenty of variation, guiding you progressively toward your goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a certified personal trainer since 2014. This process requires several months of study with a strong focus on Human Movement Science and Program Design. To become certified, I completed a proctored final exam and CPR/AED certification.
Additionally, I am an ACE certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Menopause 2.0 certified (via Dr. Stacy Sims).
To maintain my certifications, I am required to complete continuing education credits every two years as well as maintenance of CPR/AED certificate.
