The most important thing to remember about home inspections is that your inspectorâs job is to find defects for you. All homes have defects. Time, use and nature cause deterioration. Major appliances such as furnaces and water heaters wear out. Most defects are minor deferred maintenance issues. Sometimes defects are major, but almost all defects can be fixed. Your inspectorâs job is to help you understand the extent of the defects so you go into closing fully informed.
When you are buying a home it really is all about you, your family, your safety and your security. My role in your process of buying a home is to clearly and concisely document the condition of the property making sure you understand the condition of the property as clearly as can be documented from a non-destructive inspection before buying it.
