- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have two hourly rates, personal and business. Personal: $75/hr Business: $125/hr I offer a 20% discount to business clients if they sign a retainer contract which equates to $100/hr. Retainer contracts start at 4 hours per month.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly reading about the latest in technology and the trends therein. I utilize RSS to subscribe to experts in the field.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In high school I was set on going to culinary school and becoming a chef as I have a passion for cooking. In my junior year I was working on a project in the library on one of the schools iMacs and I was interested in how it was setup to work with the other iMacs and the servers in the room. I started meeting with the IT director and the IT team and found myself engaged in what they did and how it all worked. It made sense to me in a way I can't fully explain. I started to volunteer during my study halls in the IT department for our district and from there never really looked back. Understanding technology is my gift and it never gets stale. I've followed that passion ever since and have been working in IT for nearly a decade professionally now.
