Jason and crew did excellent job. He gave me a quote and scheduled service in a timely manner. He not only cleaned out my gutters but blew off roof and deck as a bonus. I highly recommend Jason.
Brent from Jack Of All Trades is great! He was able to work me in within one day and did a wonderful job power-washing over 2,000 square feet of driveway and a front porch. He takes pride in his work and is easy to work with. I also take comfort now in knowing I have someone I can call for not only power-washing but more since he has several home services (i.e. painting, etc.)
Richard did an excellent job building our deck. He was very helpful throughout the process.
Uncle Fix'it was one of best contractors we have ever worked with. From getting back to us to his craftsmanship of his work. Our screened in patio is awesome!
He went above and beyond to install a large picture window in our kitchen!
Mark came to repair some rotten wood I had on doors and windows...he did such a GREAT job..that I had him do all of the windows. He noticed I had paint peeling on our front porch steps that had been done incorrectly the first time and had been repaired to no avail. He did a 7 step process on them and they look wonderful and have withstood the rain and bad weather. I will be calling Mark for any home repairs that I have in the future. He sent me pictures to show me the damaged area and kept me up to date of where he was in the process.
I called Andrew Eastin to give me an estimate on a bathroom remodel after seeing some work that he had done for a neighbor. I decided to check him out on thumbtack.com and was impressed by his excellent ratings and all the positive things people had to say about him. When I called him, he responded immediately. I decided to hire him to do the work and I've never regretted it. He did an excellent job for me and I added lots of other projects after he got started on my bathroom. He did electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, tile, painting and concrete work for me. He, also. built from the ground up a large, screened in back porch. He showed up everyday and on time. He kept me informed about what was happening next and was always concerned if I was happy with the way things were being done. He cleaned up after himself everyday before he left. He finished that job in October and I have called him back recently to do another job for me. He will always be my first choice when I need some home improvement work done.
It has been a pleasure working with George for the design and installation of our patio. He is especially gifted in listing to your interests and applying them to his own design sketches. Our patio turned out to be more beautiful than we could have imagined. The installation process was handled by Titan Landscaping, who were very professional and excellent to work with. Once the patio was completed George took the time to visit a local nursery with us in order to pick plants based on our interests and needs to put the finishing touches on the patio. Overall we would definitely recommend George for you landscaping design needs.
We got 16 recess lighting fixed in the living room, kitchen , dining , and study. Tim did a great job!
We used Brant Taylor to remodel our house. I met him as he was working on another house on our street- I was considering a similar project so I introduced myself. He was a really friendly guy and after a quick conversation he came by the house and immediately offered input on the project. He ended up turning our garage into a bonus room (complete with surround wiring and theater projector built in) and our carport into a three season, screened in porch with a custom, modern style fireplace. Overall we are 1000% satisfied. He was in tune with our wants, went out of his way to work inside our budget, and seemed to really care about our project. He did little things extra just because- like hook up the water line to our refrigerator while he was working in the wall. Imagine coming home to that! He made it his own and it shows in the quality of the work. We would recommend him to anyone considering remodeling. Out of the three contractors we had bid, his price was competitive. What sold us though was his presentation, his upfront approach to cost management throughout the project, and his overall zealousness for the project. We did see some delays do to the nature of the project and out of control of the contractor. These were met with solutions and we were happy with the time frame in which everything was completed. Overall, we are extremely happy (if you can't tell). We highly recommend this contractor to anyone considering work being done to their home.
I honestly don't know how to summarize, how awesome a job these guys did. They are in a league above the rest for sure. They had to step in about 1/2 way through our sun room addition project because our first contractor was taking forever (7 months in on a 1 month project). They fixed issues from the first contractors sub-par job without asking me for more money. They showed up, on time, everyday they said they would. If they weren't coming one day, Keith the owner would always make sure we knew why they wouldn't be there that day (mostly because of waiting on material we ordered). They did an excellent job and their quality and attention to detail is among the best I have ever seen. My only regret is that we didn't start with them from the beginning. Their prices are fair and they will do an awesome job for you too. Hire these guys, you won't regret it.
Tom is a kind, hardworking, thorough contractor. He helped us turn our once weird, shed roof porch into an amazing screened room that we will use throughout the year. He noticeably put a lot of thought and effort into making our porch better than I could have imagined. I would recommend Tom to anyone and hope to use him for future projects.
I want to thank James for getting to me so quickly. I recently had hip replacement surgery and needed to have handrails installed on my porch steps for safety reasons. James and his partner worked through the afternoon into the evening despite the rain to get this job done for me. I'm so proud of my new porch railing!
Nick did a great job and we're having him back next month for some additional work. We like his attention to detail.
Edanielwell Miller is a wonderful guy. He and his son (who has the same great attitude as his father) laid a laminate floor on our second story. The price was the best, they showed up when they said they would and they were more than accommodating. The floor, shoe molding and stair nose looks wonderful. He was even game to take on the additional task of covering a big "box" in the room with the laminate. This necessitated some fairly intricate finishing work that proved to be a bit beyond his experience level, but nothing we can't live with. I would (and probably will) call him in a minute if I have more work to be done.
My husband and I were thrilled with their work!! They got the job done efficiently, were fair on cost, kept an impressively tidy work space, were readily available to be reached by phone out message, and went out of their way to help us find solutions for our space. They put down flooring, framed and installed a French door. And we even hired them for some addition work before they left! Very happy with our experience we will definitely use them again and refer to others.
I hired Hardscapes by the Yard to do a patio for my grill area off my back porch. We are absolutely pleased with the finished result and the stone looks beautiful. The owner Phillip was very knowledgeable and was eager to meet all of our needs. We will definitely use these guys again!
After our pool was completed we wanted to have a covered area for sitting and dining with a small bath and storage added to our existing brick home. Our original ideas were presented to Wesley Branch and Cory Hicks and they thankfully guided us in another direction. The covered area doubled to 14 x 33 as the bath and storage addition were integrated into the covered area. We can never thank them enough for gently suggesting another way to look at the project. I recognized quickly that I could rely on their advice and skills as they understood my style and our entertaining needs. There were many pop-up adaptations and problem solving situations and I was included when necessary. They expanded our vision for the area and our completed project is beautiful, comfortable, and inviting. We are very, very happy with their work.
Warren did a great job - creative, clean, and very kind! My boys miss having him around - he became like a part of the family while he was re painting our entire porch, steps, staining the playset in the back yard. He is very honest and a great guy.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION for: Tim Wolf of Wolf Home Improvements by: John. Carlisle (homeowner) Mount Juliet, TN Tel.: 615-717-5371 Date of remodel: October 25, 2016 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Tim Wolf. Tim was the general contractor for a remodeling project on the exterior of my house in the fall of 2016. I had no prior relationship with Tim, who was recommended by an architect friend of mine. The scope of the remodeling involved window replacement (22 windows and 3 patio doors), siding replacement (approximately 4000 sq. ft.), replacement of 2 decks along with installation of stainless steel cable railing, and roof replacement (approximately 2400 sq. ft.) for a three level house built in 1978. The project took 8 weeks and involved 4 work crews (carpenters, siding, painters, roofing) plus electrician and structural engineer, at a budget of just over $100,000. While major remodeling is inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, Tim's services as a general contractor were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. Specifically, I would give Tim top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently top notch. Tim used subcontractors who were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications, and their work product rarely needed improvement or revision. 2. Quality of work crews. Other than one relatively minor exception which Tim promptly addressed once I brought it to his attention, the workmen whom Tim utilized were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of the homeowner’s property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic (often 10-hour days, some Saturdays), good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. I also found them to be trustworthy, and my wife and I felt comfortable with allowing them access inside our home. 3. Project management and coordination. Tim's prior experience working in construction really paid off. He was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. His excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills and commitment to follow-through are assets which enabled him to juggle the extensive details involved in our project without missing a beat. Tim's familiarity with building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle-free process when it came to building permits and inspection. 4. Integrity and professionalism. Throughout the project, I was impressed with Tim's commitment to generating a top quality product, rather than maximizing his profit margin. When situations arose where extra work needed to be done (because of hidden problems that were not apparent until work on the house had commenced), Tim either (if it was relatively minor) took care of it without charging me extra, or (if it was more extensive) involved me in an informed decision making process that culminated in a change order which was fair. In another situation in which I was not satisfied with the aesthetics of nail holes on the siding battens even though the latter had been installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions, Tim agreed with me and arranged to have the nail holes filled and battens painted - a job which involved many additional hours - without passing the expense on to me. 5. Effective communication. Tim kept me closely informed of work crew schedules, delivery dates, and projected completion dates of different phases of our project. His communication (whether by cell phone or email) was always clear, informative, and helpful. He was either available on his cell phone, or returned my phone call within 2-3 hours. We never had a single miscommunication throughout the 2-month project. His communication with the work crews was just as effective. 6. Flexibility and effectiveness in dealing with unexpected developments. When unforeseen problems surfaced (e.g., water damage behind a wall, structural problems with the existing cantilevered joists for an upper deck), Tim worked diligently with me to identify a solution that was acceptable to me. He utilized resources effectively (e.g., enlisting the services of a structural engineer in a limited fashion) and creatively (e.g., identifying a special type of edge vent for my roof that had minimal overhang), and directed the work crew to make changes necessary for implementing the solution. 7. Responsiveness to homeowner’s needs and concerns. Tim's commitment to homeowner satisfaction was evident in his actions. On the few occasions when I brought a request or concern to his attention (e.g., when I wanted the roofing done before all of the exterior painting was completed), he listened attentively, and always took appropriate action that demonstrated responsiveness to my needs or concerns. When the painting crew fell behind of schedule, Tim showed up on a Saturday and helped with the exterior painting. His service orientation is truly described by the motto: “The homeowner’s needs come first.” 8. Truth in advertising. In his proposal, Tim gave a clear breakdown of costs for each facet of the project. His contract was just as detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. Same with the change orders. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon, and there were no hidden costs, extra expenses or unpleasant surprises. As a homeowner and customer, I felt Tim delivered exactly what he had promised, at the agreed upon price. 9. Value. I had solicited three bids for my remodeling project. Although Tim's bid was not the lowest, I am absolutely convinced that he delivered the best value (in terms of the work done) for the price. 10. Sensitivity to work site appearance and neighbor relations. Our project required a huge dumpster and a portable toilet (for the work crew), and there was very limited parking. Tim's placement of the dumpster, portable toilet, and construction materials was based not solely on function and convenience, but showed a consideration for the aesthetics of the work site. The work crew parked their vehicles in ways that were minimally disruptive to the neighborhood traffic, and their conduct never caused any discomfort to our neighbors. In the two months during this project, there was not one single neighbor complaint! Instead, three different neighbors passed on compliments about the work crews (e.g., “those guys really work hard”). In closing, I am very pleased with the final product which Tim was instrumental in delivering, and I am extremely impressed with his work as a general contractor. In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Tim is indeed a rare find. I have been a homeowner for over 30 years, and I took this unprecedented step of writing an unsolicited letter of recommendation for Tim because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to hire Tim again, or to recommend him to my friends and neighbors. I recommend Tim Wolf to you most enthusiastically, and without any reservations. If you have any questions about my experience with Tim, please feel free to call me at 615-717-5371 John Carlisle A very satisfied homeowner
Josh was WONDERFUL to work with. He gave me a great quote and started working the very next day. We had him tile our front porch and build out our columns. His communication was excellent and he worked hard, fast, and non stop until the job was done. His work could not look any better. We are thrilled with the end product. It is absolutely beautiful. I can’t recommend him enough. I’m already planning on hiring him for other projects at our home. You will not be disappointed in hiring him!! Thank you so much, Josh!
