I had the great pleasure of working with Tamara the past two years with New England Rep in New London NH. As a designer, I could not have had a more pleasurable and easy experience with an actor. Tamara's approach is always friendly, professional, and welcoming. This past year I designed the costumes, set, and props, as well as served on the board of directors for the company. Wearing so many hats can become a bit overwhelming. Tamara's calming presence and plethora of experience was always greatly appreciated. I always felt like a comrade, and we worked out any bump in the road with great ease, (and usually some wonderful laughs!). I would recommend her as a coach, colleague, or performer with great confidence.

As an actor, Tamara brings a wealth of training and experience to the stage, and she tops that off with an impeccable intuition and a presence that is truly unsurpassed. The best part for her students is that she also knows how to translate her skills into teachable components. I trust her with any genre, and with any goal that a student may have. Tamara Scott is the consummate actor. Her experience is a comprehensive cornucopia of the classics to the contemporary. She is egoless, in her sharing and communication skills and always exhibits professionalism at it's best. I know this to be true as I have worked with her in the most demanding of circumstances. I had the privilege of working with Tamara on a production recently. Not only is it humbling and inspiring to watch her work, she is also an incredibly generous scene partner. Tamara took the time to meet with me outside rehearsals when I was struggling with which direction to take my character in, and her advice was always thoughtful, articulate, and effective. I cannot recommend this gifted performer and teacher highly enough.

Reading plays, articles; talking to other professionals.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had been acting for many many years and began teaching movement to young actors. I then began to help the younger actors in plays I was in by answering questions and sharing their concerns and considerations for the characters they were playing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Everyone responds to a different messenger. Take a phone call with anyone you are considering working with and ask a lot of questions. Listen carefully to their answers.
