- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
• Hourly rate: $75/hr • Minimum service charge: $100 per appointment, plus any materials or job expenses • Time & materials: Most jobs are billed for actual job-related time, materials, and expenses • Flat-rate quotes: Available in writing for clearly defined, predictable projects • Travel and errands: No charge for ordinary local commuting. Job-related store runs and errands are billable; extra travel time may apply beyond 25 driving miles • Deposits: Required when the estimated job total exceeds $1,000 or job materials exceed $200
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
• Initial discussion: We discuss your project by text or phone to confirm the scope and make sure it’s a good fit. • Photos and product details: I review photos of the work area and any products or materials involved so I can plan ahead. • Walkthrough, if needed: For larger or more complex jobs, I may visit to inspect the area and take measurements. • Service agreement: Before work begins, you’ll sign Handy Wizard’s Master Service Agreement, which covers our general terms for projects and quotes. • Day of service: We review the tasks together, agree on priorities and a plan, then get to work.
