My teenage daughter has been taking lessons from Adam for almost five years and her experience couldn't be better. Adam challenges her to advance her skills but also keeps it fun. She really looks forward to her lesson each week. She's come so far and I credit his teaching technique for that. I highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Jamsville as a guitar teacher. I came into lessons as an older (and admittedly impatient) student, and he was incredibly patient, understanding, and flexible with both my learning style and my schedule. What I really appreciate is how he breaks things down in a way that makes sense to me. He finds ways to simplify difficult concepts and techniques without ever making me feel overwhelmed. Every lesson feels achievable and encouraging — I always leave with something new I can actually use and understand. As someone that’s also in the workforce, he’s been great about working around my availability, which makes it much easier to stick with lessons and keep improving. His mix of professionalism, skill, and genuine kindness really stands out. Even after completing his course, he continued to follow up with me and make sure everything was still going well.

Adam is a great instructor. 1) He starts his coaching exactly where you are in your journey; 2) He knows exactly how to identify problems in your playing and break them down into fundamental and manageable parts to work on; 3) I'm liberated from the A minor pentatonic box everyone knows (or should know). 4) As far as improvisation goes, I'm playing the changes more and I'm also playing in a more in a linear style; 5) Most importantly, I think differently as a guitarist. When I hear a chord progression, or if over a certain chord, I have more options, whether it's targeting chord tones or switching from a major to minor scale. I'd definitely recommend Adam anyone to see quick improvement. -Patrick Marzitelli

I've been taking lessons from Adam for over two years now! As a rock musician, I knew I wanted to up my skill set, which I can confidently say has happened. I describe my progress as going from "garage-rock musician" to actually having a comprehensive understanding and being able to write professional songs and confidence to hang with pros in a jam setting. We've covered many major topics such as triads, 7th chords, major/minor scales/blues soloing, modes, etc. The lessons feel focused and on a linear path. I've taken other lessons before where the teacher chooses a random thing and bounces around. This truly feels like a course with a direction, which I feel is more efficient. I plan to continue my efforts with the Jamsville program indefinitely. I am so glad I can say two plus years later, it's been the most exponential growth in music knowledge to date. I gained a friend and accountability partner who challenges me to go out of my comfort zone - which always leads to the most progress!

My son took guitar lessons for 5 years with Adam (from age 9-13), and we’d still be going strong today if Adam hadn’t moved away! Adam made guitar fun, and taught my son lots of Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, etc. When my daughter started to show interest in learning an instrument, he taught her the ukulele. She is also a singer, and Adam kept it interesting and taught her how to play Taylor Swift songs so she could sing and play simultaneously. Both kiddos excelled with their instruments and continue playing today. Five stars! The whole family highly recommends Adam Hernandez! :)
