I highly recommend Graham. He installed 3 doors and painted them. Graham was very professional, gave great recommendations, and showed great knowledge in his craft. Would hire Graham without hesitation for any future jobs.

Graham was a knight in shining armor for our addition project that needed a lot of work after our contractor abandoned the job. Graham swooped in and helped us finish all the finishes and trim, including hanging doors, building window frame boxes, baseboard trim, hanging mirrors on our tiled bathroom wall, etc. He is communicative, punctual, and trustworthy. I highly recommend Graham and he will be the first person I call moving forward for any future projects.
Details: Interior door (e.g. bedroom door, closet door) • 5 doors • Standard • Wood • Yes, I already purchased the door • Home

I wish I could include more tags for Graham’s work. I consider myself lucky to have had Graham’s expertise and assistance. Graham showed up every day on time, he finished a huge job for me in just a matter of days, the price for his work was very fair, and I would absolutely stunned by his attention to detail. Things I would have missed. His carpentry skills are incredible. I presented him with an ambitious project and he not only executed it with an artistic eye, he delivered it to look beyond perfect. I will definitely keep in contact with Graham for all of my future home improvements because hiring anyone else would never give me the perfectionism, professionalism, and artisan creativity... the “obra artística” that i got from my project.
Details: Interior door (e.g. bedroom door, closet door) • 2 doors • French or double • Standard • Wood • No, but the door frame exists • No, but I plan to purchase the door myself • Install locks or hardware • Home

Graham removed and hung two new exterior doors along with an interior door. Our home is from 1908 and nothing is straight, square, and far from perfect. However, Graham had great attention to detail and made all the doors look great. Tight joints on trim miters, cleaned up, and removed all trash and materials. We will DEFINITELY be having Graham back to do trim and other door installations! Must hire for carpentry work!
Details: Interior door (e.g. bedroom door, closet door) • Exterior door (e.g. front door, patio door) • 3 doors • Standard • Wood • Yes, the new door replaces an existing door • Yes, I already purchased the door • Home

Meeting Graham was like a punch list dream come true and more.
Graham is a multi talented "can do" "punch list master" General contractor. He conquered every task I ask for assistance with. I was so relieved find someone who was able to complete tasks I needed help with. Grahams pricing is fair and he is very easy to work with. I highly recommend Graham for any of your tasks related to carpentry, doors, trim and any other handyman skills.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I primarily use Thumbtack for exterior door installations, and the labor cost to remove and replace a standard exterior door averages $500. If repairs are required beyond standard installation, I bill these repairs at $65 an hour but always talk through these repairs with a client prior to beginning work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I gather enough pictures and information from a potential client to provide an estimate without the need for a site visit. If the client wants to move forward after receiving this estimate, we will decide whether a site visit is required before work begins. A typical site visit will be billed at $75, but this amount will be deducted from the final cost of the project if the client uses my services.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up on a farm in rural Tennessee, so there were plenty of opportunities for building and repair projects. I always enjoyed carpentry and woodworking but began my working life as a middle school math teacher. After a few years of teaching, I decided to pursue my interest in construction and began working with Habitat for Humanity as a site supervisor. I spent three years learning how to build Energy Star certified houses from the ground up before deciding to start my own business.
