Brad responded to my inquiry very quickly. He actually had the highest quote of the three responses I had. Upon reading his reviews and expertise it was apparent that service and quality = value which costs a little more. Brad helped me design setup of 3 televisions in my home. Each of which had its own special issues because of the construction of the home 10 years ago. The custom installations while adding the sound bar to each tv is phenomenal. Each television has a separate configuration with the sound system. They all look amazing. Brad is extremely detail oriented and has an eye for aesthetics. I can't express enough how impressed I have been with Brad's work. I have already referred his services to my business partner and would strongly encourage anyone to look no further for services that Brad offers.

Good morning, everyone. I wanted to give an update on our new system that was installed and wanted to reiterate on our process of how it went. On Monday evening we noticed that our Air Conditioning system started blowing out hot air and stopped cooling. In a couple of hours it went from balmy to hot sauna conditions in no time. We knew there was something wrong with our unit but thought it may be out of freon?.... so throughout the night I looked and researched online many different units and companies . My husband just had a feeling that our unit had just went down for the last count. I called several companies , left detailed messages and going down a list. One name and company stuck out and when I called-Jeff with Efficient- HVAC and Home Services had answered. I explained in detail about our unit and he listened. Jeff set up a time frame on when he would arrive and in 2 hours he was there . In minutes he had run a diagnostics troubleshooting and went through the whole entire system. Jeff gave us numerous options and prices. We chose a New Goodman 3 ton system. He said he would be back the next morning with a time and his technician was there and in no time had our old system dismantled and removed. Jeff came with our new unit and at the time he had stated. They had everything up and running and completed by 2pm. In a couple of hours it went from 99.9 to 80.4 and got more comfortable as the night progressed. Jeff explained everything in great detail and saved us a bundle. We have had previous quotes through the years from 6800 to 10,000. That wasn't counting reconfiguring our system, ductwork or moving the return upstairs. All of the other options was just out of our price range and budget. It was a no brainer for us. He believes in getting what you need -not what you don't need. I want to Thank you again, Jeff And your technician as well. You guys are great! I highly recommend them and they get ☆☆☆☆☆+ from us! Sincerely, Sonia. P.s. This morning-it is like being in an Artic Heaven . Cool & comfy.

Our fridge went out and we needed a quick repair. Stan was able to get someone out to our house the same day and our appliance is working well again. I would recommend Home Appliance Master for anyone in need of a quick and thorough appliance repair.

I was very pleased with the job that Mr. Marshall did for me. I appreciated the fact that once the appointment was made, he stayed in communication with me so I knew exactly when to expect him. I plan to hire Mr. Marshall in the future for other home maintenance jobs.

Adam and his team came to my home on very quick notice and uninstalled an older appliance in order to install a new one. He and his team were very friendly and were knowledgeable about plumbing. This dishwasher works great now. I'd use Adam again if I have another plumbing related issue. I would recommend Adam to others.

I had it seemed as a laundry list of things to do but they were all handled professionally, completed in a timely manner and what they quoted was what they charged. They hauled away my old water heater and the box for the new one without having to ask. I would recommend there services to anyone who wanted great service at a great price. Chris....Old Hickory

Although the website for LazyBoys Concrete states "no job too small", I was a little concerned, after looking at the pictures, that our job would be too small for their operation. Corey Edmondson, owner and operator called me and was extremely happy to come over and give me a quote. He arrived on time and gave us a good quote for the project. He also kept us in the loop and when the weather turned colder, he called us immediately and explained that the pour would be delayed until the weather broke. Corey does all the work himself. He does has assistants, but he is always on the job site. We were so happy with our front porch makeover, that we had him pour a patio in the backyard. The weather took a turn for the worse and Corey was out in the backyard with auxiliary lighting finishing the patio till 9pm with fantastic results. He is courteous friendly as is the staff. He definitely loves what he is doing and it shows in his dedication to customer service and satisfied customers. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing a concrete job and hope to see him again when it comes time to refinish our driveway.

Curtis was a true professional. In less than 24 hours after returning my message, he repaired my undermount sink. He was prompt, trustworthy, clean, and professional while performing quality work. Given the the outcome of the work performed, we have discussed other projects to address within the next week. I highly recommend giving Payton Enterprises a call for your home projects.

I have cleaned rental houses and vacations rentals for thirty years. This is the first cleaner I have used that cleaned under rugs and really dusted. I have been looking for eight years for help and I was thrilled with their professionalism. I will use them a lot for my home and my business. They are knowledgeable about products. My house is not easy and they went through it as if they had done it hundreds of times . They are the BEST👍

Jerad did a great job for us. We had five faucets to replace in our home. Of the many vendors who responded he was the lowest price of those who would give one. He was responsive to all communication, came on time, and made quick work of it all., and left not a trace that he had been here!! This guy is polite, hard working, good at what he does and I immediately trusted him. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work, thanks Jerod!

My job was an appliance installation. I needed to have an old built-in oven/microwave combo removed and a new one installed. Nathan showed up ahead of schedule, trimmed our cabinet cutout to fit the new unit in, completed the installation, hauled off the old unit and cleaned up after himself. His main business is heating and cooling, but I would recommend him for projects like this as well.

Chef Dave was phenomenal!! I hired him for an in-house cooking experience as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and Dave made our evening unforgettable! We are used to eating out a lot, but Dave's dinner hit the spot and is by far the best dining experience you can find in Nashville. My boyfriend usually does not eat dessert, but he finished Dave's chocolate lava cake!! His preparation and professionalism were very impressive! I'm extremely pleased with Dave's service and will recommend him to my friends. Our menu was: App #1: Fig & Pancetta Risotto (best risotto I've had!) App #2 : Arugula and Prosciutto Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette and Parmesano Reggiano. Entree: Bourbon Braised Short Ribs w/Brown Butter Mashers & Asparagus (OMG - the short ribs were fantastic, the meat fell off the bone!) Dessert: Chocolate Lava Type Cake (to die for!) THANK YOU, Dave!

What can i say Alan Mack is awsome, I had him install all our ktchen appliances that we bought at JCPenny, cause J CPenny installers are not bright, so if you are looking for a handyman don't hesitate call them.

Alex and his guys did a great job! They showed up on time and didn't rush through the job. Alex is very polite and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of my home. The price was great too. I got other quotes and this was definitely a more affordable option, but the quality was still high! I would recommend this company to anyone looking!

James and Simple Home Solutions and Services have my absolute highest recommendation. They have done multiple jobs at our house, and I have been pleased with each of them. James, the owner, and his associates have done top notch work at reasonable prices. They have shown up on time and have been people I was comfortable with having in my home. Without hesitation, I would recommend this company to others and have no doubt that we'll use their services again in the future.

As a business owner in Hendersonville who works with youth programming I have the opportunity to enjoy conversations with customers from all areas of Sumner County. When conversations turn to the topic of construction or remodeling most people will share horror stories about how they call and the contractor who guarantees they will show up but never appears at the scheduled time. Worse is when they show up, walk out during lunch hour and never return to finish their work. If you are looking for a honest, dependable, straight forward person who can help you build or remodel your home or commercial business property then I highly recommend Mike Woerth. Mike is one of those "Jack of all Trades" type of guys who can tackle just about any project you throw his way. My wife and I have done business with Mike since 1996 both on homes we have added on to or remodeled, and our commercial building that has required an enormous amount of work since we opened. Mike is trustworthy and will go above and beyond the norm to insure that the job is well done. He has "come to the rescue" on several occasions where emergency repairs were required after hours or on the weekend whenothers were "unavailable". Mike is creative, thorough in detail, and takes pride in his craftsmanship. I highly recommend him to you for your next project!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.
