Val is a wonderful massage therapist. She is extremely knowledgeable about the body and how to get it to respond and relax. I look to her monthly for helping me with neck and back issues - she is able to help with my tension headaches and the knots in my shoulders. She's the best and very easy to work with!

I’ve known Val for 2 years and can truly say that my life is better because of her. She’s an outstanding therapist with a vast understanding of human anatomy and physiology. I always feel relaxed and recharged after seeing her. On a personal basis, Val is a kind individual with a heart of gold. I think that’s one of the reasons her massages are so great. She’s the whole package!

I have been getting massages from Val for several years. She is an amazing therapist, very in tune with the areas that need the most work. She does an assessment prior to the session which is very important to me. She goes above and beyond what most therapists do. I was very ill a couple of years ago and was in the hospital, I needed to purchase a massage for a gift. Val was so gracious and helpful, she even delivered the gift for me!! She also scheduled me in for an "emergency" massage due to my pain. LOVE VAL! I wouldn't go to anyone else.

What I love about going to see Val is that if I want a "real" deep tissue massage, I get one. If I want a light relaxing massage, I get one. Val knows her stuff and knows how the body works. Between the Army, CrossFit, and being a claims adjuster, my body gets sore. Getting a massage by Val keeps me going!!!

Matt, thank you. You know I love the challenge of working out your stressed muscles and welcome the times when you just need to unwind.

I have been going to Val Knust for massage therapy for over 4 years. I jog and work out for exercise, travel with my job and a busy life at home. Val always puts her best effort to make sure that if I have an injury she educates me on the injury and the best way to treat the injury and what she can do to help me get through so that I can continue to keep jogging. Val is known for her kindness and whether you are there for relaxing massage, deep tissue, etc.,, she takes the time to make sure that you are getting the absolute best therapy during your visit.

Thanks Tracy! It's always a pleasure to see you and I'm grateful for your kind words.

Q&A

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, TN law requires that massage therapists take a finite minimum number of continuing education every two years.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Deep tissue and resolving issues.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It's always the client's choice of having a full body massage or specific issues and areas massaged. Depending on how many issues someone needs to have addressed, there may not be enough time to complete a full body massage during the time reserved.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
No two massage therapists provide the same massage. TN law requires massage therapists to continue their education on a yearly basis. Techniques learned influence their sessions and sessions are tailored to each client. Some therapists' forte is relaxation and stress relief, others like to troubleshoot issues.
