FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our learning subscriptions allow students to access high-quality instruction at an affordable price. Online classes start at just $9! We have special rates available both year-round and seasonally. We also work with charter schools and allow the use of charter funds to purchase services. Ask us for personalized suggestions to make our classes or other services fit your budget!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is nothing "typical" about us. We believe that each child is unique and requires individualized instruction. We pride ourselves on providing individualized instruction that caters to each student's interests and learning needs. Even our group instruction is individualized! By limiting class sizes, tutors are able to meet individual student needs in a small group setting. We even have a customized class option to encourage specialized interests and needs! - What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
AG Tutoring LLC is owned by Alexandra Garcia, a former special education teacher and graduate of Vanderbilt University. Vanderbilt University has the #1 special education teacher preparation program in the United States and is #4 for overall teacher preparation programs. Alexandra Garcia uses expertise gained from both her time at Vanderbilt University and her time in the education industry to thoroughly vet each potential tutor. A solid background in education is key when evaluating the quality and skill of a potential tutor. Less than 2% of applicants are offered contracts to tutor potential clients. Our rigorous criteria ensure you won't be matched with a just "okay" tutor. We want you to have the best! Hundreds of applications are sent in weekly, but only the most qualified and passionate candidates are considered for interviews. Our high standards of instruction set us apart from our competitors. At an absolute minimum, all tutors must hold a bachelor's degree and have prior tutoring experience. Academic tutors must be certified teachers. Nonacademic tutors must be considered masters of their craft. Tutors must demonstrate expertise in evidence-based practices and demonstrate a passion for thinking outside-the-box to make learning fun!
