- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We generally charge a fee for the first hour that includes travelling to a given location and then an hourly charge for the duration of the move. If the move requires a larger truck to get everything out on one packing session as opposed to making numerous trips with a smaller truck that we use most of the time for piano moving, then it may be advisable for us to rent something more fitting for the job which would be an added expense for the client but in that it saves time by cutting down numerous trips it is to their benefit.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We are most often called to move pianos and do a good bit of advertising for that as along with doing it for almost thirty years in Nashville. Often when people are needing a piano moved they are moving other items ond even perhaps the entire house. It is not uncommon for folks to need perhaps a few other things moved and will ask about it in the discussion of the piano move. At times the discussion turns to perhaps the entire house and we can many times accomodate though it is not our daily chore. People are often comrted that we are specialty movers and have to be very careful with pianos and feel in turn we will be careful with all their other itmes as well.
