I am more than happy to provide any services that are related to being a personal/private chef, including cooking for you and your guests or teaching you how to cook. I am also happy to provide entertainment, while I cook through conversations, demonstrations of techniques and fun displays of skill. My experience includes spending many years honing my professional skills and my passion for the culinary arts, and working as an Executive Sous Chef (in Washington, DC) under both Executive Chef Kyle Bailey of Birch and Barley, Churchkey, Blue Jacket, and GBD Chicken and Doughnuts; and Executive Chef Peter Smith of PS-7's, Newton's Table, and Vidalia. Aside from the amazing food, Chef showed up early, stayed late, was extremely professional, entertaining, and easily adapted to the flow of the evening. He let us be as hands on as we wanted to be, but did not hold up the process when wine and cheese took priority over chopping and mincing. Every part of dinner was delicious and thoughtful - I'm looking forward to doing this again for a dinner party!

We hired Chef Allen for a surprise engagement dinner for our friends. He cooked a three-course meal for the six of use (tuna tartare, pork tenderloin stuffed with apples, bacon, and blue cheese, and bourbon caramel apple bread pudding). In addition, he also put together a massive charcuterie board with cheeses, olives, peppadew peppers, fresh bread and 4 different types of sausages. The food was delicious and you cannot find better quality for the price. Most of it came from local farmers and vendors. If we had gone out to a restaurant, we would have easily spent three times as much. Our friends were blown away by the fact we hired a chef. I would highly recommend Chef Allen for a fun and unique special occasion. He was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable.

Chef Allen provided us an awesome experience of excellence and superb taste. I had a small bridal shower for my daughter, who is a "foodie". The selection of local farm fresh ingredients and his creative cuisine skills had everyone had everyone bubbling over with delectable joy! The scallops with lemon caper sauce, shrimp & grits, bourbon caramel bread pudding....uuhhhhmmmmm! Thanks Chef Allen!
