- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The best rate is for folks who can commit to weekly lessons during a semester or summer term ($30 per half-hour lesson, $45 for 45min., $60 per hour -- all lessons paid at the beginning of the term or in two installments). I also offer a slight discount for packages of four lessons ($130 for four half-hour lessons, $190 for four 45min. lessons, $250 for four 60min. lessons). One-time lessons are $35 for a half-hour, $50 for 45-min., or $65 for an hour.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a teacher you enjoy being with -- while learning any new skill has its challenges, you want to leave most lessons feeling uplifted, encouraged, and enjoying the gift of music.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The most important ingredient for learning piano (or any instrument) is practice -- even if it's only a few minutes a day, touching your instrument regularly will keep you improving even more effectively than our lesson time together.
