Melanie has been working with my daughter for a year on piano. She is an extremely accomplished musician. She is super adaptable to what my daughter needs and likes as far as what they work on. She has a gentle but fun demeanor. She is so supportive and understanding of our busy schedule - I seriously can't imagine anyone else teaching Grace (my daughter). Grace actually looks forward to lessons and practices on her own. She has been a gift to us.

We found Ms. Melanie online after first moving to Austin. She was very punctual, professional for each lesson. Then COVID struck, and we began doing virtual lessons. I was entirely skeptical as to how my 8 year old would do with his attention virtually, and also his ability to tune his instrument on his own. But it has worked out, and Melanie has managed to keep my 8 year old on task for the duration of the lesson while maintaining her professionalism!

Both my daughters have been working with Melanie for about a year and the experience has been great. My 7 year old started from the very beginning with Melanie. She didn't know how to play or even hold the violin and now she can read music and plays several melodies. My 11 year old has worked on the Suzuki method and Melanie was key in helping her with various auditions. She is a rising 6th grader who auditioned for her school's orchestra and with Melanie's help she got placed on 8th grade Orchestra. Both girls feel very comfortable with Melanie and I think her teaching style, method and aids are great for anyone who is learning an instrument.
