I recently hosted my baby shower at this venue back in May, and while the space itself worked for our needs, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.From the start, communication was inconsistent. Any time I sent the owner a text with multiple questions, she would only ever answer one, leaving me to follow up repeatedly for the rest of the information. This made planning more stressful than it needed to be.On the day of the shower, I had paid for an extra hour to allow plenty of time for setup. Unfortunately, when we arrived, no one was there to let us in. I called several times and got no answer, and it was nearly 30 minutes past the hour I had paid for before we were able to get inside. The owner did end up meeting us there and even helped with setup, which I appreciated, but it felt a bit overbearing at times as she tried to direct where decorations should go.Overall, the venue served its purpose, but the lack of clear communication and the delay on event day made the experience less smooth than I had hoped.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review we appreciate feedback so much!
First off I want to apologize about communication being spotty, We are getting busier and busier and working on having a staff here that can handle the work load on a consistent basis.
The day of your event I had told you and your husband that the staff member that was responsible for your party had to rush their newborn to the hospital for a fever over 100 degrees. While I realize this has nothing to do with you all - I did venmo your husband $120 which is a ONE HOUR refund before 4:00 and helped setup as much as possible to make sure you were setup properly for your party.
I apologize if I came off as overbearing - I was just trying to rectify the situation as much as possible so that your party would run smoothly - it is never my intention to come off as bossy or rude to anyone during their events.
We are doing our very best to hire individuals that are capable of handling work loads of our heavily trafficked party weekends as the Downtown Social has been a growing space
I am very sorry that the emergency that happened to my staff member affected your party the way it did - we are making moves to prevent situations like this from happening for anyone else. Thank you!
